Obituary

In Loving Memory of Xaylon Todd OstenburgJanuary 11, 2010 – September 27, 2026

Xaylon Todd Ostenburg, 16, passed away on September 27, 2026. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Xaylon was kind and always willing to help, with a little sass along the way.

Xaylon loved anime, especially One Piece, and enjoyed collecting Pokémon cards, anime figures, and Godzilla memorabilia. He loved books, video games, and building LEGO sets—especially Star Wars. Movies like Predator and Alien were among his favorites. He also enjoyed doing math, particularly in Mrs. J’s class.

During the summer, Xaylon loved being outside on his kayak. He also enjoyed photography, returning to it from time to time and earning recognition for his photographs at local fairs.

Some of his favorite times were spent hanging out at Grandma’s house and being with his best friends, Jonah West and Bella Crawford. His three dogs, Oakley, Archer, and Jazz, were also a special part of his life.

Xaylon is lovingly remembered by his mother, Tiffany Ostenburg; his father, Eric Ostenburg; and his little brother, Axel Ostenburg. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Steve and Dianne Ostenburg and Sue and Todd Fayram; his aunts and uncles, Anthony Fayram and Brianne and Zack Horne; his cousins, Bladen and Eleye Horne; and many loving great-aunts, great-uncles, and extended family members, including numerous cousins.

Visitation and Mass will be held at St. Ann’s on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Visitation will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at Butte Central’s Maroon Activity Center (MAC).

Sixteen years could never be enough time with Xaylon. His family and friends will carry his kindness and the memories they shared with him for the rest of their lives. He will always be loved, always be missed, and always be part of his family. His passing leaves an immeasurable ache in the hearts of those who love him.
