Timothy Joseph Williams passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at his home in Butte, Montana.  He was born to Maurice and Joyce (O'Brien) Williams.

Tim attended Butte Central High School, graduating in 1980.  He later attended the University of Great Falls.  On August 05, 1989, he married Lorilei Wedlake Olson.  Together, they had one son, Chad Maurice, born June 16, 1995.

Tim worked for HRDC in the Weatherization Department.  He later became a counselor at CCCS, Inc. working for both the WATCH Program and the Butte Pre-Release Center.   He retired in 2020, after 25 years of service.

Through the years, Tim enjoyed travelling to see his teams play, the Boston Red Sox and the GRIZ, even making it to Fenway Park in Boston and Target Field in Minneapolis to see the SOX.  The family often visited relatives in Lake Havasu, Arizona, using it as an opportunity to visit the Grand Canyon, Phoenix, and Tucson.  He also enjoyed golf and, when he was in better health, played often with Chad.

Tim was a kind, patient, and compassionate person who gave his all to his family, friends, and the clients he helped at WATCH and the Butte Pre-Release.  We are heartbroken and miss him dearly, but know he is free from the pain he endured.  We love you, Tim.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Steven; sisters, Connie and Kay; brother-in-law, Dave Swanson; and his nephew, John Swanson.  He is survived by his wife; Lorelei; son, Chad; brothers, Jerry (Debbie) and Jim (Sharon); and sister, Marilynn Swanson.  He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Liane Gearhart; brothers-in-law, Greg (Sally) Wedlake, Ken (Julie) Wedlake, and Rick St. Pierre; sister-in-law, Linda Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 am on October 11, 2024, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
