Thomas James Little, born May 24, 1953, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2026.   The son of Marabeth (Mary Elizabeth Maloughney) and John Little, Jr., Tom grew up in the close-knit of Butte, attending St. Patrick's Elementary School and graduating from Butte High School.

Tom continued his education at the University of Montana Western and later Utah, earning both a Masters Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Administration.  He dedicated his professional life to education, serving as a teacher and administrator.  His steady presence, compassion, and commitment to students shaped countless lives over the years.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, John and Marabeth Little, and his brother, John Little.  He is survived by his brothers, Frank (Nancy) Little, Chris (Della) Little, and Tim (Kandi) Little.  He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; Tedd Little, Abbey (Joe) Sweeten, Heather (Mike) Nasheim, Mara (Mike) Coyne, Frank (Meghan) Little, Cody Little, and Kelsey (David) Chestnut; along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends, which include Greg Swoboda, who held a meaningful place in his life.

Tom will be remembered for his kind and loving nature, his deep devotion to family and friends, and his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.  He spent many joyful hours volunteering in the community and cherished time spent with his beloved dogs; Maggie, Jetta, and Gronke, who were constant companions and sources of happiness.

Friends may call on Saturday, August 01, 2026, after 10:00 am in the Duggan Dolan Mortuary Chapel, followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 am.  Interment will take place at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to the Butte Animal Shelter, the Butte-Silver Bow Archives, or the charity of the donor's choice.
