Mrs. Terrie Louise Svejkovsky passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  Terrie was born on December 18, 1955 in Butte, Montana, to Clarence Paul and Ellen Louise (Perrault) Merzlak.

Terrie attended Whittier Elementary and East Junior High School before graduating from Butte High School in 1974.  She was employed by the Butte Head Start Program for 25 years, preparing nutritious meals for the children every day.  For many years, she also provided tasty treats for local residents, and people that traveled to the area for festivals and fairs, operating Tropical Sno with her husband, Dave, and business partners, Bill and Debbie Sharkey.

In 1971, Terrie met the love of her life, David Frank Svejkovsky.  They were married on September 09, 1973, in St. Ann's Catholic Church.  Together, they shared just short of 49 years of promises made and kept.  Not only was she a devoted partner in life to her husband, a loving mother to her two wonderful children, and an amazing grandmother to her cherished grandchildren; she was also a second mother to her 5 brothers, always taking time to listen, consult, and laugh.

Terrie thoroughly enjoyed watching baseball and golf sporting events.  An avid bowler, she loved competing in both mixed and women's league.  Her talent in the kitchen was evident in her absolutely amazing pasties, povitica, banana bread, and oatmeal cookies.  She was the backbone of the family, especially to her siblings.  Her generosity, kindness, and wisdom helped her guide her family all throughout her life.  Family was the most important aspect of Terrie's life.  She absolutely adored spending time with her grandchildren, and visiting with family and friends at every opportunity.  She also really enjoyed occasional trips to Las Vegas for the shows and entertainment.

Terrie was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived, and will be missed by, her husband, Dave; her children Chris (Rachael) Svejkovsky, all of Butte, and Cory (April) Svejkovsky of Sammamish, Washington, and her grandchildren Landon and Ava Svejkovsky of Butte.  She is also survived by her brothers, Ed (Ellen) Merzlak of Madison, Missouri, Steve (Debbie) Merzlak of Augusta, Georgia, Jim Merzlak of Medina, Ohio, John (Kate) Merzlak of Maui, Hawaii, and Rob (Traci) Merzlak of Helena, Montana; and her nieces and nephews across the country, by whom she was dearly loved, Eddy Merzlak of Madison, Missouri, Jeremy (Natalie) Merzlak of Florence, South Carolina, Shawn (Emily) Merzlak of Augusta, Georgia, Jaime Merzlak of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jason (Stephanie Egbert) Merzlak of Butte, Michael Merzlak of Billings, Montana, Amber (Evan) Rogers of Sammamish, Washington, Alysha (Drew) Majer of Black Diamond, Washington, Chelsea (Matthew) Rausch of Minot, North Dakota, Marisa (Tristan) Lytle of Helena, Montana, and Zach (Autumn) Merzlak of Helena, Montana.

At Terrie's request, cremation has taken place.  Private family entombment of ashes will take place at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Rockies, Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter, or World Central Kitchen (wck.org).  Duggan Dolan Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
