On February 6th, 2024 Susan Stradinger passed away quietly at her home surrounded by family members and loved ones.

Susan or Sues, is what she went by was born on December 05th, 1938 to Donna and Robert Ryan.  Her mother remarried to George Wilkom and was raised  by George and her mother Donna.  She was an only child.  She grew up in St. Paul, MN., where she went to grade school and high school.  She worked at her step fathers supper club.

She met the love of her life, Fred Stradinger in High School and soon after high school they were married on September 26th, 1959, and they remained married until Fred passed away on 02/21/2023.  She had two boys that she was very proud of, and they moved to Butte in 1969, as Fred got an opportunity to work in Butte.  They fell in love with the community of Butte, and the people and stayed.

Susan loved to work with special needs children and the elderly and was a strong advocate for the Montana Highway Patrol Hope Project.  At the car shows that she went to with Fred, you could see her promoting the Hope Project.  She was very active with Fred at and for the car shows they went to, and were always together always with smiles enjoying the people and friends at the car shows.  Susan and Fred were involved with the Yellowstone Rod Run with Jim and Terry Kilmer for several years.  If you saw Fred you would see Susan, as they were always together.  She was a strong member in the Catholic Community  and promoted CCCS as she believed in it, and Fred was a board member.  She loved to be around people, and her laugh was contagious.  She loved to banter with her son Jerry and people always laughed when they heard them.

We cannot leave out all of Susan's furry friends, she loved so much and is now reunited with them.  She does leave behind two of her furry bests, Dude and Maverick.

Susan had a big heart and she loved unconditionally and never judged anyone.  She had the power of Jesus within her, and weathered her storms with strength, dignity and determination, unfortunately her last illness was stronger than her.

She made several friends on the way, and she became very fond and close to Shawna Gibson, through her Business, Compassionate Heart Home.  Shawna and her employees took very good care of Fred and Susan and was with both to the end.  She will be very much missed.

She is survived by her son's Jerry Stradinger, Jim Stradinger and his love Teresa Stradinger, and her two grandson's Brodie and Lachlan Stradinger.

Visitation will be held at St. Ann's Parish on Thursday February 15th at 10:00am, followed by Mass at 11:00am.  All are invited to the Knights of Columbus for a reception located at 224 West Park St., following the funeral services.
