Mr. Shawn Edward Gray passed away on Friday, March 06, 2026, at his residence in Butte.  He and his identical twin brother, Shane, were born in Butte, Montana on September 20, 1964, the son of Edward Franklin "Frank" and Jo Ann (Aschenbrenner) Gray.

Shawn attended Blaine Elementary School and graduated High School in Dayton, Wyoming.  Raised with his twin brother on North Main St., near the Buffalo Road, he was proud to be a "Hill Boy".  At 17, he joined the military and proudly served his country in the National Guard.  A man of many talents, Shawn tried his hand at everything from carpentry to mining.  An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and camp.  He used his talent as a sportsman as a Hunting Guide.  His love of the outdoors extended beyond the meadows and mountains to the fairways.  Shawn enjoyed many happy hours golfing.  He loved to spend time with family and friends and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand.  He shall always be remembered for friendliness, his humble demeanor, and his infectious smile.

Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, and numerous aunts and uncles.  He is survived by his mother; his identical twin brother, Shane; his children, Misty Dawn, Shantelle, and Joshua; and his grandchildren, Konher, Evelyn, and Ryder.  He is also survived by his step-sister, Kellie Moore-Stevens; his niece, Skyla; his nephew, Shaden; and numerous cousins.

Friends may call on March 27, 2026 after 12:00 PM (noon) at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM with interment of ashes will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
