Sandra Lee (Serich) Klimpel passed away January 2, 2023, at her home on her own terms surrounded by her loved ones and her cherished dogs after fighting a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Sandy was born March 3, 1961, to Gerald and Georgia Serich in Kellogg, Idaho. She was raised in Butte, Montana, with her 3 siblings Debbie, Dan, and Dave. She enjoyed dirt bikes, horses, and causing mischief with all of them. Sandy may have been one of the youngest siblings, but she was the definitely protector of the bunch.

Sandy's pride a joy were her children Nicki and Joe. She started her family young and devoted everything she had to her kids. Her family grew with her grandchildren, whom she says are "the apples of her eyes." She was so proud of them all. Selika, Kellen, Payton, Konnor, and Anna drove her fire to fight as she wanted to be there to see all their future accomplishments. Her love extended on to her beloved niece and nephew, Heather and Tucker, and as she called them to her bonus grandchildren -Aaliyah, Brady, and Kayla.

Sandy worked up until the very end at CCCS. She admired and cared deeply for all of her work "partners in crime." She was a dedicated, faithful employee working right up to the very end.

We take solace in the thought that she will be reunited with her much loved father Gerald and her younger brother Dave. Her fierce spirit will be dearly missed by the matriarch of the family, her mother Georgia Serich, children Nicki (Serich) Miller (Nick Miller, Selika and Payton McGlynn), Joe Klimpel (Mandi, Kellen, Konnor, and Anna) and siblings Debbie Ouellette (Joe), Dan Serich, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and 2 great-nieces.

Sandy's family would like to extend a special thank you to those who helped take care of her during this difficult time, especially her cousin, Tracy. We are so thankful she was able to be home at end like she wanted.  Please join us for a celebration of life at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Duggan Dolan Mortuary. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery immediately followed by a luncheon at McQueen Club.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to www.packtheplaceinpink.org .
