Sally Downey
Sally Patricia Downey passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
Born March 14, 1942 in Butte, Montana to Michael and Leona (White) McFadden. Sally was the oldest child of four children. Sally attended Greeley Elementary School.
She married the love of her life, Jim Downey on January 31, 1958 in Santa Barbara, California. Together they had six children, Jim, Mike, Dan, Debbie, Patty, and Sam. While raising six children she also raised her two sisters, Sheri and Kim. Even with a full house, her door was always open to everyone. She loved spending time with all of her children and attending all of their rodeo events. Sally was an excellent mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, some would say the best!
Sally is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son-in-law Donnie and her great-grand daughter, Leigha. She is survived by her children and grandchildren: Jim Downey (Nikki), Mike and Brittany (Danielle, Jacelyn, Holt) Downey, Dan and Edie(Tysen) Downey, Debbie and Ed (Christy, Eddie) Zimpel, Patty (Amanda, Cassie, Amber, DJ, Seth) Hancock and Sam and Misty (Shyann, Riley) Downey; 14 great-grandchildren, her brother Dan McFadden, sisters Sheri (Mark) Jennings and Kim Navarro and numerous other family, to many to mention, that loved her dearly.
A memorial service will be held on April 14, 2017 at 11:00 at Duggan Dolan. A reception will be immediately following at the East Side Athletic Club. A private commital of ashes will be held at a later date.
