Ron McDougall passed away, unexpectedly, on September 23, 2021. He was born Ronald William McDougall on October 03, 1959 to Richard Allen and Arlene (Telling) McDougall, the 5th of 11 children.

Ron was a veteran and proudly served in the United States Army. After he was discharged from the service, he didn't follow what might be considered a conventional career path. Ron was good with his hands. He had many construction and home maintenance type jobs over the years. He was a blue-collar guy and wasn't intimidated by hard work. As a bonified handy man it was required that he wear many hats. In that role he was willing to tackle almost any task.

With his Fu Manchu moustache, the twinkle in his eye, and his easy smile, these were recognizable elements of Ron's persona. He was a scalawag and a bit of a roque. If you were a family member of friend, it was inevitable that you were going to be teased. Teasing people gave him great pleasure. One thing that you learn when you come from a big family is that affection is shown it unusual ways. You only give a hard time to those who you care about.

A damaged heart brings thoughts of remorse, a longing for closeness, a need for healing. This is believed to be the Ron's desire. He saw family as his whole world. Ron is now in the arms of Jesus, whole and content.

Ron was preceded in death by his dad, Richard; and his brother, John. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Aurthur and Mary McDougall, and William "Buzz" and Loretta Telling. He is survived by his devoted mother, Arlene; his daughter, Janice (Bryan) Eggleson; his grandchildren, Beau and Whalen; his brothers, Rick (Juanita), Robert (Jennifer), Dan (Nola), Jim, and Brian; and his sisters, Linda (Mike), Debbie (Larry), Sharon (Tom) and Donna (Kevin Groves). He is also survived by his son, Steven Medina, and his family, and a whole passel of nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Butte Rescue Mission, or the charity of the donor's choice . Duggan Dolan Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
