Roberta Regina Junker Hanni, Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend passed away Tuesday, November 9 ^th , 2021. Robbie was diagnosed with ALS in June of 2021 and after a courageous fight she passed away peacefully at her home per her terms, as she did with everything in her life.

Robbie was born October 19, 1948 to Norbert and Mary (Mahoney) Junker. She attended St. Johns Elementary and graduated high school from Butte Girls Central where she participated in the Pep Club and Choir.

She met the love of her life David Hanni in 1978 and they were married March 3, 1979 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Butte, Montana. They had their pride and joy Dan in November 1980. Robbie and Dave later divorced but remained close friends until his passing in 2012. Robbie was part of the Montana Amateur Speed Skating Association where Robbie advanced to be a board member of the National Speed Skating Committee. Robbie spent countless Saturdays voluntarily at the lunch counter of the Rocket Restaurant while Dan bowled Youth League. She also enjoyed her ceramics classes and almost everyone she met has one of her ceramic pieces made just for them.

Some of Robbie's favorite past times included skiing, bowling, and traveling. Robbie traveled with Dan and supported him in everything he did, this continued with her grandkids. Robbie loved to go to any and all family functions, always arriving with a camera in one hand and finger jello in the other.

Robbie worked at the Public Library for a couple years until she found her career at The Montana Power Company where she not only made friends but considered them her second family. Robbie took an early retirement after 20 years. After staying home for a short period of time Robbie decided she was not ready for retirement and started working at Kmart. Robbie once again gained another family with her coworkers at Kmart for over 10 years. She loved each job but truly cherished all of the friendships that she made over the years.

Robbie always wanted to help and was a part of many organizations in her community. She volunteered with Montana Special Olympics alongside her family. She also volunteered with The Relay for Life as she was a cancer survivor herself. She volunteered at the Butte Food Bank twice a week and participated with Shop with a Cop for many years in which she looked forward to every Christmas season.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband and dear friend David Hanni, parents Bert and Mary Junker, brothers-in-law Nick McEnaney and Mickey Graham, nephew and Godson Tony Graham, her Goddaughter Elizabeth Allen, and one of her best friends Nikki Mulcahy(Neano).

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Dan and Nicole Hanni, grandchildren Konner Hanni and Mia Garcia, sisters Connie Graham, Sharon Hanni, Sandy McEnaney, Maggie (Jim) Pesanti, in-laws, Ron and Susie Hanni, Loren and Vicki Hanni, Bill and Cindy Howald, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special mentions: Darlene Allen, Mary Schrapps, Nancy Zahn, Bill Muretich, Linda Caprara, Sue Carlson, Leaona Dorcheuf, Mike, Jori, Bella and Emmy Schrapps, Ken and Laurie Johnson, and Ryan Hardy.

Relatives and friends may call Monday November 15 ^th , from 10:00am to 11:00am in the Duggan Dolan Chapel for visitations. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am from the mortuary chape. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Butte Food Bank, Relay for Life, or a charity of donor's choice.
