Robert Timothy "Tim" Nadeau passed away Tuesday November 16, 2021 at his home in Butte surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer.

Tim was born on November 03, 1948 in Massena, New York to Robert and Dorothy (Burt) Nadeau. The family moved to Butte in 1956. He attended local schools and graduated from Butte High School. Tim was drafted into the US Army and served his country in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. While in Vietnam, his mother became ill and Tim returned to Butte to take care of her and his siblings.

He became a Butte Police Officer for a short time and later attended Montana Tech where he earned his degree in Science and Technology in 1988 while working two jobs. He worked at the Butte Metro Sewer for 35 years where he retired in 2003 while also running a concrete business, known as Nadeau Concrete. He was very passionate about this work, that had been passed down through many generations. He met many people who became close friends, like family, throughout his career at the sewer company and finishing concrete. He treated his workers like family and whenever they were in need Tim was always the first person to help. He was a kind and thoughtful man and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

Tim married the love of his life, Janice Olson in Butte on August 28, 1971. They enjoyed spending time together taking various trips to Wendover and traveling to Idaho and Utah to support two of his many favorite people, his grandchildren, Peyton and Olivia, in the many sports they played. They celebrated their 50 ^th wedding anniversary this past August surrounded by family and friends.

Tim enjoyed helping people and was truly a family man, always supporting his children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. Tim was an avid participant in Butte Softball, traveling the state for many tournaments and adventures and even a national tournament. He loved his music and would play all his favorite songs dancing the night away on the floor with his soft feet.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Dorothy, his sister Susan, and his brother Rick Nadeau. Tim is survived by his loving wife Janice, daughter Jennifer Nadeau (Brad) of Idaho Falls, son and daughter in law Jarrud "Scoots" and Kris Kingston of Butte; sister Martha Keller of Boerne, TX.; brother Mark Nadeau of Butte; brother in law Dale (Trudi) Olson of Arizona, sister-in-law Bobbi (Stan) Adams of Livingston, grandchildren: Peyton, Olivia, Nicole, Ty (Tess), Gabe, and numerous loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Tim is also survived by countless cherished friends too many to mention.

Many thanks to Highland Hospice of Butte for their excellent care. In accordance with his final wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be concluded at Duggan Dolan Mortuary on Tuesday, November 23 ^rd at 11 AM with visitation from 10-11 AM. Reception to follow at the McQueen Athletic Club. Donations can be made in honor of Tim to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
