Rita Marie Zeigler was called to Heaven on the morning of Tuesday, August 06, 2024.  Rita was born in Butte, Montana, on October 16, 1920, to David and Blanche (Amos) Sullivan.

Rita grew up in Butte, attending St. Lawrence Grade School and graduating from Butte High School in 1939.  After graduation, she attended Butte Business College and worked for Gordon's Jewelers in uptown Butte, where she met Milton A. Zeigler on August 16, 1947.  The two were wed and had two sons.  Stephen A. Zeigler was born on October 15, 1952, and Byron L. Zeigler was born on August 09, 1954.  She worked as a Nurses Aide at St. James Hospital for 19 years, and later volunteered with the Senior Companion Program.  She was a Senior Companion until she was 95 years old.

She has now entered Heaven to join God, other family members, and Milton, who passed away in November 1987.  Mom is survived by her sons, Stephen and Byron; her grandson, Aaron; her granddaughter, Dylan; and her great-grandson, James.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends, which includes her best friend, Ann Bachman.

Friends may call on Wednesday, after 10:00 am, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.  The Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
