Rich Dennehy passed away Sunday in Butte.   He was born on August 30, 1959 in Butte, the son of Larry and Jean (Borgman) Dennehy.   Richie attended local schools and was a 1977 graduate of Butte Central High School.

Following high school Rich moved to Seattle working as a cabinet maker.   He eventually relocated back to Butte, and began a long career at the Butte CCCS from where he retired last summer.

Richie was infamous for his storytelling, in fact he could tell you a story that you knew wasn't true but he would try to convince you otherwise.  He could be found at many a watering hole exposing his tales to both stranger and friend alike.   To say Richie was "One of a Kind!" is an understatement.   His family and friends will continue to share and laugh about all the good stories he tried to sell us on.

He was preceded in death by his parents Larry and Jean Dennehy, sister's Carolynn and Kimberly, brother Robert "Bubba" Dennehy.

He is survived by his brothers and sister-in-laws: Mick & Sheila Dennehy of Butte, Pat & Penny Dennehy of Seattle, Kevin Dennehy, Kelly & Theresa Dennehy and his sister Lynn Dennehy all of Butte, sister-in-law Sue Dennehy.    He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom Richie truly adored, and by his numerous cousins and  friends especially those of the Butte Central Class of 1977.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place.   A family gathering will take place Sunday April 7th from 1:00pm to 3:00PM in the Knights of Columbus Hall for all family and friends..
