Phyllis Marie Sutey passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2016, at the age of 92.

Phyllis was born on February 23, 1924 to David and Marie Tomich in Butte, MT. She attended Holy Savior in McQueen and Butte High School. After graduating from Butte High, Phyllis attended Butte Business College. She married Louis Joseph Sutey and they were blessed with a son, David, and three loving grandchildren Lisa, Louie, and Kimberly.

Phyllis and her husband, Louie were owners and operators of Sutey Oil Company. After Louie passed away Phyllis and her son, Dave, ran the family business. Phyllis also was involved in the restaurant industry as owner of Fred and Millies Café. She never fully retired from Sutey Oil as she enjoyed going to the bank and visiting the stores on a daily basis.

Phyllis also spent her time as an avid bowler. She loved her gambling trips to Wendover along with her weekly pinochle and bingo games. She also enjoyed chauffeuring her friends from place to place. These were some of Phyllis' favorite past times.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her son, David Sutey, parents, David and Mary Tomich, husband, Louis Sutey, and brother, William Tomich. She was also preceded by good friend and sister in law, Mary Matteucci.

She is survived by her daughter in law Linda Sutey, grandchildren Lisa (Tim) Tutty, Louie (Sharon) Sutey, Kim (Chad) Powers and great grandchildren Haylee, Tyse and Noah Powers, Mackenzie and Riley Tutty, August Sutey, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are asked to join the family Tuesday at 10:30 at Saint Ann's Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00am with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials to be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Spokane, Washington or charity of choice.
