Paulette Rose Maloney passed away peacefully at St. James Hospital in Butte on January 24, 2020. She was born in Butte on January 20, 1947 to Paul and Rose (Mumalo) Duffy. She was the baby sister to her older brothers Eddy, Donny (Handsome Denver Don) and Dicky.

Paulette was baptized in the Orthodox faith, had attended Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church and was proud of her Serbian heritage.

Paulette grew up on Pine Street in a very close neighborhood. The McClafferty, Lovshin and Finnegan kids were all considered brothers and sisters.

Paulette attended Greeley grade school, East Junior High and graduated from Butte High School in 1965. After high school, Paulette also attended Montana Tech for two years. Paulette renewed many friendships while attending her 50 ^Th class reunion in 2015 and was looking forward to the 55 ^th reunion this summer.

While a teenager, she worked at the A&W Root beer stand in East Butte and at the Butte Country Club. Paulette was employed by the Montana Standard for 14 years and by the Montana Power 25 years. She retired from the "Power" in 2003. She remained close friends with many of the people she worked with over the years.

Paulette was a very kind person and had a great sense of humor. She had a beautiful smile and a laugh that could be recognized in a crowded room. She cherished her large family, wide circle of friends and loved all animals.

Paulette had many health problems during her life but her strong spirit would never let these problems slow her down.

Paulette married Jerry Holm in 1972 and had two children with him. Holly was born in 1974 and Jerry was born in 1981. They later divorced.

Paulette married Pat Maloney on September 29, 1990 and they remained best friends until her death.

Paulette was preceded in death by her parents Rose and Paul Duffy; brothers Ed Duffy and Dick Pickett; sisters-in-law, Kathy Duffy and Mary Ann Larsen: mother and father-in law, James (Snub) and Katherine (Kitty) Maloney.

In heaven, she will also join her special friend Jeri Rakich where they can continue the shenanigans they began here on earth.

Paulette is survived by her husband Pat; children Holly and Jerry Holm; grandchildren BriAnna Collins(fiancée Jason Vesco), Bransyn and Braxton Battermann; brother; Don Duffy; sisters and brothers in law Mary Duffy, Jim and Peg Maloney, Chuck Larsen, Tom and Karen Mullaney; special nephew Jordan Pickett: her much older cousin Bobby Duffy; ex-husband Jerry Holm and by many members of both the Duffy and Mumalo families. She also leaves many, many special friends she made during her life

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday January 29, 2020 after 11:00 am in the Chapel of Duggan Dolan Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00pm in the Chapel. Interments of ashes will be in Holy Cross Cemetery immediately following the Funeral.
