Our beloved sister and best friend, Paula Jane Parini, 70, passed away unexpectedly at Intermountain Health on September 26, 2024. Paula was the 6th of 7 daughters born to Delores Gregory and Leslie Waddell on July 8, 1954. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School and graduated from Butte High School in 1972. She received her BS in Elementary Education at the University of Montana in 1976.

While attending school, she worked for her Aunt Mae at Matt's Place. Later, she was a substitute teacher for Butte School District #1 and also provided child care at the YMCA. She retired from the Discovery House in Anaconda.

Paula married Joe Parini in 1995. They were together for 25 years until his passing in 2020.  Paula was a fun loving, happy person with a bubbly spirit. She was a jokester, always trying to make others laugh! She enjoyed taking care of her nieces and nephews and her friends's children.

Paula is survived by her sisters Linda McManamon (mini Mom), Laura Wine, April Sullivan, and Debbie Thomas; her brother Pat Sweeney; Joe's daughters Lauri (Jeff) Dennett and Jolene (Kerry) Shipley; sisters-in-law and brothers -in-law Bill Thomas, Steve Sands, Pete (Sandy) Parini, Amelia Korinko, Bill Parini; cousin-sister Robin Cockhill, cousins Cyndie Bell and Randy VanDiest,and numerous nieces nephews.

Family preceding her in death include her parents, brother Bob Sweeney; sisters Karen Sands and Donna Haxby; and numerous aunts, uncles, sisters -in-law and brothers-in-law.

The family would like to thank A-1 ambulance EMT's, the ER nurses and doctors, and Chaplain Kama for their compassion.

Relatives and friends may call from 2:00pm to 4:00pm Tuesday in the Duggan Dolan Chapel for visitations.   Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00am in St. Ann's Catholic Church with visitation from 10:00am to 11:00am.   Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.  Donations may be made to the Butte Food Bank or the donor's choice.
