Friday, November 10, 2023, Patrick DiFronzo passed away after his 2 ½ year battle fighting brain cancer (Glioblastoma) in the most courageous manner. He died peacefully at home with his wife Lois right by his side.

Pat was born November 22, 1958, in Butte, Montana to Tony and Betty DiFronzo. He joined his brothers, Mick and Tony, and his sister, Rosemarie.

Pat attended St. Ann's grade school and South Central Junior High. He was a very proud graduate of Butte Central High School in 1977. He claims that their class was the best to ever graduate from Central. Pat attended Montana State University, graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Pat obtained his CPA license shortly after.

Pat married Lois Mininger on July 10, 1982. They were blessed with over 41 years together.

Pat was quite adamant about staying in Butte. He was able to obtain his dream job, working for the power company. Pat worked in several departments throughout his career. He started in the tax department; later, he went into auditing and treasury. His final position was manager of Regulatory Affairs. Pat retired in February 2019, after a very long career with Northwestern Energy.

Throughout his younger years downhill skiing and golfing was his passion, which carried over to his adult life.  Pat and Lois went on numerous ski trips with the Knights of Columbus.  They made a ton of fond memories that were established with so many incredible people.  This was a true highlight in his life. Pat was a member of the Butte Country Club his entire adult life. His greatest achievement was on October 7th, 2014, getting a hole in one. He was also very proud of golfing over 100 rounds the first summer he retired.  Racquetball consumed Pat's life for so many years. He started in his college years and acquired many trophies throughout his years of competition. Pat's proudest moment in his racquetball career was receiving the Don Goddard award for best sportsmanship. This award was selected by his racquetball peers. Pat was so very humble, but this award meant the world to him. Pat had a real passion for his football teams. He and Lois had season tickets up until this year, for over forty years. He was a proud member of the Bobcat Alumni. He loved his fighting Bobcats, even throughout all the bad years. Pat was very reserved except when watching his beloved team play. Watching his NFL team, The Los Angeles Rams would get Pat pretty vocal also. The most important treasure in Pat's life was family, he considered his friends as his extended family.  Throughout Pat's amazing life he has had so many dear friends and family who truly loved him for who he was. Words can't begin to describe how special he was, and how much he will be missed.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; Tony and Betty DiFronzo, mother-in-law; Carma Jean Mininger; and brother-in-law, Gerald Mininger.  Pat is survived by his wife Lois; brothers, Mick (Pat) DiFronzo and Tony (Cheryl) DiFronzo; and sister, Rosemarie (Warren) Bickford. He also is survived by his father-in-law, Glenn Mininger; brothers-in-law, Chuck Mininger and Dale (Mischele) Mininger; sisters-in-law; Charlene (Stephen) Taylor, Nancy Mininger, and Ashlea DiFronzo;  nephews and nieces; Michael (Miaka) DiFronzo, Mario (Whitney) DiFronzo, Kelly (John) Sullivan, Jim (Angie) DiFronzo, Jodi (Shayne) Henderson, Travis Bickford, Toni Marie (Matt) Bender, Tina (Chris) Davis, Tyson (Lexie) Bickford, Shelby Mininger, Katy (John) Vinion, Arron Mininger, Alex Mininger, Sarah Schneider, Aidan Taylor, Sean Patrick Taylor, Jennifer (Jared) Tormohlen, Stephanie Wetzel and Adam (Rita) Wetzel; numerous great nephews and nieces; and his beloved cousins Jim (Mary) George and Marilyn (Bill) Kirwin.

I would like to thank everyone at the Butte Cancer Center for Pat's incredible care throughout the last couple of years. I would also like to thank LeeAnn with Honeybee Hospice.

Friends may call on Friday after 10:00 am at St Ann's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.  Private burial will be at held at a later date. Memorials are requested to Butte Central High School or the Butte Rescue Mission.
