On April 20, 2024, Mary Pamela "Pam" Celli passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at St. James Hospital after battling an extended illness. Pam was born December 15, 1947, to Pete and Rita (Harkins) Conavad and was a lifelong resident in Butte.

She attended Butte Central through school. She was an honor roll student, and was president of G.C.A.C. In 1965, she was crowned Monogram Queen. After she graduated, she attended Montana State University Eastern until she decided to start working in Montana Developmental Center, she then went onto the Washington School, the Letter Shop before settling into a career she thoroughly enjoyed, BSW. She started in the Day Program, moved up the chain until she became a Job Developer. She always said she had the perfect resume and could work anywhere as she had to learn the positions before she could introduce her clients and train them.

She was an avid supporter of the Special Olympics, she was on the local management committee, bowling coach and on the Champion and Fund-Raising committee.

She was also an advocate well beyond retirement. She retired in 2013.

She was on the board of directors with the Women's Bowling Association. She was part of the 600 club and bowled most tournaments around the state and bowled in several local leagues over the years.

Pam made friends everywhere she went and loved every one of them. She loved reading, gambling, bowling, gardening, and was a huge fan of the Montana Grizzlies and Green Bay Packers.

She also enjoyed being consistently present in all her grandchildren's lives as they grew up, and helping out whenever she could.

She married the love of her life on September 19, 1969. They welcomed their first daughter Collette in 1970, and their second daughter, Heather, 11 years later in 1981.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Rita (Harkins) Conavad; Her brother, David Conavad; Her sisters-in-law Germaine Kovacich, and Alice Brockman.

Pam is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bruno Celli; Daughters, Collette Rauh, and Heather (Cory) O'Boyle; grandchildren, Brady Rauh, Taylor Rauh (Hendrick Henson-Diaz), Briawna Rauh (Brady Bare), Kiera O'Boyle (Luke Gorham), and Brendan O'Boyle; great-grandchildren, Amiah and Noelie Henson-Diaz, and Conrad and Kouvr Bare; siblings, Maurita Nash, and Pete (Barbara) Conavad; her most special fur baby, Bella; and special friends, Fawn Lyons,  Dawn Murphy, Pat O'Rourke, and Sharon Hanni.

She loved her monthly luncheons with her good friends and co-workers, Carolyn Sanders and Arlene Welsh.

The family would like to thank the ICU staff at St.James Hospital especially Nurse Isaac for the tender loving care they provided for her.

Friends may call on Friday after 11:00 am in St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be celebrate at 12:00 PM (noon).  In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to BSW or Special Olympics.
