Mia Elizabeth Miller, 30, passed away peacefully in Butte on May 4th, surrounded by her family.

Mia was born on January 8th, 1990 to Arthur Lillyblad and Amy Birkelo in Butte, MT.

Mia attended Montana State University before transferring to Montana Tech, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Liberal Studies in 2013.

She married the love of her life, William Beau Miller, on October 1st, 2016.

Mia worked at the Quarry Brewing Company where she began as a "beer-tender" and worked her way up to Tap Room Manager. The Quarry became a second home to Mia. She was so well loved that Mondays are referred to as "Mia Monday" and everyone knows if you want the fullest beer to ask for a "Mia Pour."

Mia was happiest out driving on a sunny day, with the top down and music blaring, while riding alongside Beau and Milla (their dog). She loved "sweatshirt weather," the smells of fall, and the leaves. Mia was obsessed with Harry Potter and prided herself on being a true Gryffindor, someone who exemplifies bravery. She loved girls' nights with her niece Arianna, where they would watch movies, wore face masks, had makeovers, and did each other's hair. Mia was lucky to have cousins who were also her best friends. Mia, Erin, and Julia grew up watching Austin Powers, eating so much junk food (specifically watermelon Sour Patch Kids and "frickin amazing chocolate"), and laughing until they cried. She loved finding the beauty in everything around her and enjoyed the simple things life had to offer. Mia was always thankful for what she had and was so grateful for the love she was shown. Though Mia was faced with countless medical setbacks, her smile and positivity never waivered.

The family would like to thank Dr. Pullman, Dr. Marwan Massouh, Dr. Hassan Massouh, and the countless nurses and staff at St. James Hospital for their endless care, love, and support.

Mia is survived by her husband (Beau Miller), her parents (Arthur Lillyblad and Amy Birkelo), her siblings (Jennifer and Emily Axtell, Rosalie and MaryJane Lillyblad, Matt and Joshua Lillyblad), her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents (Carl and Marilyn Birkelo, Jack and Lenora Lillyblad), her aunt (Amber Holden) and her cousins (Lenny Birkelo and Chris Dupuis).

A viewing and funeral service will be held for her family in the following weeks. Mia will be cremated and her ashes will be spread at her favorite spots - Cannon Beach, OR (the beach she loved visiting with her mom and family), Puget Sound, WA (where she shared many, many trips with Beau), and the Big Hole at Browns Bridge (where Mia's ashes will join her grandparents and her cousins).

A "Larger Than Life" Celebration will be held this summer for all of her family and friends (date to be determined).
