Mary Jo Michaud passed from this life on Saturday, August 06, 2016. She was born on April 09, 1925 to William "Dooley" and Bina (Hanley) Mehrens. She attended Butte's Madison School and Butte High School. In July of 1947, Mary Jo married Charles J. "Chuck" Michaud in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mary Jo and Chuck had nine children. Her early married life was spent as a "stay at home" mom. As the older children began to mature, she worked at a grocery store across the street and later became at Nurse's Aide at St. James Hospital. Mary Jo completed Telegrapher school, but was most proud of her accomplishments as a Nurses; Aide, helping the sick and injured recover. Mary Jo's legacy was simply being a mom and helping those in need.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; her daughter, Rhetta Galetti Caldwell; her grandson, Brian Griner; her brother, Bill Mehrens; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Tony Patch, and Cleda and Ed Austin; her brother-in-law, Rudy Forhan; and her nephew, Glen Austin.

Mary Jo is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Carol and Larry Griner, Mary Jo and Fred Giacomino, Casey Caldwell, Doreen and Dave Harding, and Renee and Matt Overbeck; and sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Sally Michaud, Chuck and Debbie Michaud, Jim Michaud, and Dan Michaud. Mary Jo is also survived by her sister, Alice Forhan, sister and brother-in-law, Chloe and Jim Gilman, her brother, Dan Mehrens, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Geri Michaud. Chuck and Mary Jo are also survived by 32 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. We are all praying for Mary Jo as she makes her to her Heavenly home, and we thank God for the time she was able to spend with us.

Friends are asked to join the family this evening after 5:00 PM in St. Ann's Catholic Church. Parish Vigil will be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am in the Church. Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
