Mary (Maria
Cecilia Villaneuva) Amaya
Apr 14, 1931 — May 24, 2026
It is not possible to describe in a few paragraphs the life of Maria Cecilia Villanueva - Amaya. What I do want to share is three words that described this vivacious strong-willed woman. Love, sacrifice and her faith. She loved all of us with a fierce, protective love, like a lion. She never asked for thanks or any accolades even though she deserved them and so much more. She was always, just there for us, never asking for anything in return but doing everything humanly possible for all of us. She never once wavered in her faith and love for Jesus. She prayed and spoke with God to the very end. Dementia could not take away her love and faith in God. Thank you Mom, Gma, Grandmama, auntie, sister for your love, sacrifice and sharing your faith with us.
I know in my heart that when she took that last breath she entered into the sweet arms of her savior, Jesus.
The only scars in Heaven, they won't belong to me and you There'll be no such thing as broken, and all the old will be made new And the thought that makes me smile now, even as the tears fall down Is that the only scars in Heaven are on the hands that hold you now "Casting Crowns"
We love you. We will meet again. Shalom.
As per Mary's request no services will be held.
