Mary Alice Boyle

On January 11, 2023, Mary Alice (Oehrle) Boyle, passed away peacefully after a short illness, at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula, surrounded by her loving family. She was just 10 days shy of her 93rd birthday. She was born on January 21, 1930, to Leonard and Alice Oehrle and attended St. Mary's Catholic grade school and graduated from Butte Girls' Central High School.

Mary Alice married her high school sweetheart, Tom Boyle, and they were blessed with two daughters and 3 sons. Family was everything to Mom, and having her family together for holidays and birthdays was top of the list.

Mary Alice worked many years in the banking business, retiring from Prudential Federal Savings Bank. After retirement, she volunteered at Our Lady of the Rockies, eventually becoming one of the longest and most dedicated employees. Mary Alice and Tom both enjoyed their Silver Beaus and Belles Square Dancing Club and Happy Times Dance Club. She also had a love of playing board or cards games, with Bridge and Kings Corner being a couple of her favorites.

In retirement Mom and Dad enjoyed traveling to New York City, Washington D.C., Notre Dame, and Ireland to name a few places they embarked on. They also started snow birding in Yuma, Arizona, where they enjoyed the warmer weather and making new friends along the way.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Tom, both her parents, her parent inlaws, Frank and Agnes Boyle, her sister Katherine Oehrle Larson, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Frances and Joe Sheehy, and granddaughter Lacie Ann Boyle.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Alice and Bob McLeod, Tom and Kim Boyle, Francie and Les Castren, Tim and Debbie Boyle and Bill and Terri Boyle. As well as grandchildren Shauna and Randall Savage, Alison Nolan, Erin McLeod and Vic Romano, Cal and Maureen Boyle, Jacalyn and Jason Jones, Lissa and Tom Nielsen, Bryce and Danni Castren, Amy and Dustin Deitchler, Elizabeth Coates and Chris Butler, Tim and Meghan Boyle, Cinna Boyle, Ashleigh Boyle and Kevin Sisneros, Nolan Boyle and Baylee Brown, Quinn Boyle, Brittney, and Krysten Counts. Great-Grandchildren include McKenna and Megan Savage, Ashton Nolan, Keiran and Mollee Boyle, Jay Rummel, Brynlee and Jakob Nielsen, Colton, Avery, and Madyx Deitchler, Jaxon, Kooper, and Tenyson Coates, Teaghan, Tim and Shay Boyle, Blakeleigh Reed, and Adleigh Sisneros. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Friday after 6:00 P.M. in St. Ann's Catholic Church.  Parish Vigil will be recited at 7:00 P.M.  The Mass celebrating Mary Alice's life will be celebrated at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at St. Ann's Church.
