Martha Katherine Coladonato Guidoni joined our Father in Heaven early Thursday morning.
Martha was born on January 6th, 1951 to Michael and Margaret (Watts) Coladonato. She was the fifth child of twelve born to the couple and was raised in Walkerville.
They say "dynamite comes in small packages" and Martha was the epitome of that phrase! From her days at the Sherman School through Butte Junior High and Butte High, on to the Butte Academy of Beauty Culture.
She met her soul mate Stephen J. Guidoni in July of 1971 and instantly had stars in her eyes. They married in the summer of 1974 and would have celebrated their 42nd anniversary this year. Through the ups and downs, many beautiful things came of their love together. They had a daughter Nicca Lynn and a son Adrian Michael Lewis. Steve had a daughter, Valissa Louise, whom she welcomed as her own. They were blessed with many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who brought much joy to them every day.
Many remember her as the spunky little ball of fire from the Hanging 5 Restaurant. Her customers and co-workers there became true friends and are many of her favorite people in the world. Martha was a passionate person. She was passionate about her family and her faith. Martha was also very compassionate and never turned anyone away, no matter what. The word "family" to her extended far beyond the standard definition.
There was no pretense with Martha. She was honest in her words and her actions. She is often thought of for her love of Mickey Mouse, Elvis, jewelry, and the color purple. She never went a day without her signature rings, bracelets, and earrings.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Margaret Coladonato, her brothers Michael Raymond Coladonato, Marshall Patrick Coladonato, Mark Thomas Coladonato, and her sister Maria Margaret Coladonato Stapleton. Also by her mother and father-in-law Lewis "Bud" and Ellen Guidoni and her brother-in-law David Guidoni.
She is survived by her husband Stephen Guidoni of Butte; daughter Nicca (Stace) Cox of Butte; her son Adrian (Amanda) Guidoni of Butte; her step-daughter Valissa Thom Guidoni of Billings; her siblings Martin Coladonato of Missoula; Milo Coladonato of Missoula; Matthew Coladonato of Boise, ID; Marlenea (Pat) Smith of Butte; Melvin (Stephanie) Coladonato of Reno, NV; Montana (Joe) Gaffney of Missoula; and Michon (Rick) Rieben of Hayden Lake, ID. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Spencer and Emma Cox, Teghan and Brayden Guidoni, Tavyn Smith, Tiara and Ian Guidoni, James Brandon, Jemma Wagner, and Chase Hirschi, as well as numerous other close family and dearly loved friends.
Services will be held at Duggan Dolan Mortuary on Tuesday, May 10th at 1:30 pm with reception to follow at the East Side Athletic Club. The reception will be pot-luck so feel free to bring your favorite dish. The family is also requesting that you bring your favorite memory of Martha, written down, so that it can be added to a scrapbook to be enjoyed for years to come. In lieu of flowers we will be decorating and celebrating with balloons. Please make any donation in her honor to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
