Marlene Josephine Francis Spencer Smith (Red) passed away Monday evening . June 8, 2020 in Butte. She as born June 13th 1940 in Butte to Bruce and Patricia (Curran) Spencer. She graduated from St. Lawrence and Butte Girls Central. On May 14th 1960 she married the love of her life Jim (Smitty).in Butte. Marlene had numerous jobs, first as a telephone operator, insurance co., nurses aide, and her favorite was bartender at SBPAC, Seven Gables, and Brown Derby. She especially loved her treasured times at Georgetown lake camping at Piney, and cable mountain, four wheeling, snowmobiling and our family annual golf tournaments . She loved their party barge( the Marlin). Later they bought a home on Dusty Lane (Smitty's Place) on Georgetown lake and lived there for the next 17 years entertaining, if the light was on there you were always welcome. She enjoyed the next decade snowbirding with Jim to Quarztsite, always

making new friends wherever they went. She loved her Canadian friends, going on cruises, going to Mexico, club picnics, visiting her daughter in Alaska. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and special friends, J.P, Judy Powers Nancy, Alice, Missy and her Uno's buddies.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, son Jimmy, sister and brother in law (Betty and Jim Hollow, brothers Bill and Tommy, niece Patty Kramarich

She is survived by her son's Bruce Smith and Sherrie (Sabrina, Simone, Great grandchild., Sterling, Sedera, Ryder, Joslyn, Raellyn. Son Marty (Nicole, Chelsea,(Donnie Hoffman), Kyrstin, Teighan. Daughter Tina Smith Patrick (Kyla, (Sammy Vanbuskirk) Lyla and soon to be grandson (Christian), Rylee(Makana) Cron. Sisters Patsy and Bing Cain, Helen and Terry Gavigan, Niece Linda and Stan Williams (Craig and Jeff Williams many nieces and nephews, cousins. The Johnstons, O'Mara's, Gavigans, Currans, Fishers, Thomas's, and the Smiths,

She requests to all donations to Easter Seals and with special thanks to Highlands Hospice and Melissa, Debbie, Amy) and Dr. Hueftle.

Funeral services will be conducted at Duggan Dolan Mortuary this Thursday the 11th at 1:00Pm with visitations from noon to 1:00PM. Burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery
