Sweet angel, Marie Margaret Senne entered heaven on April 29, 2026 at 83 years old due to complications from an ongoing illness. Marie, Mimi, Auntie Ri, Grammy, Grandma…MOM was a kind, caring, loving, and gentle soul who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Marie Margaret Masolo was born in Butte, Montana, March of 1943 to Dorothy Antonitch and Fred Masolo. She and her three sisters were all raised in Butte.  Throughout her life, Marie cherished family, both immediate and extended. She prioritized the needs of others and expressed her love through her tender, meticulous care. She was great at remembering everyone's birthdays, always sending a card with a gift or baking a cake. Her heart was big enough to share this love with her friends, co-workers, and acquaintances. She was a capable and intelligent woman who took joy in tracking and meeting the needs of others. You knew you were loved and known in her presence.

Marie graduated from Butte High in 1961. After graduation, she began working in Butte and met the love of her life, Marvin Senne, who was attending Montana Tech. The couple married on September 21, 1963, and moved to Arizona for a short time. They returned "home" to Montana after Marvin was transferred for work. Together they lived in Anaconda where they built a family with two daughters, Christy Marie and Lisa Marie. The family followed Marvin's work over the years, moving to Colorado, West Virginia, and finally settling in Wyoming. Marie made friends easily in all the places she lived with her easy-going, giving and kind nature.

Marie was a home maker until their daughters reached middle school. She created a peaceful, organized, nurturing home. She was present with her daughters, with her home, with her husband, investing her time and energy into caring for them. She organized family summer vacations, camping trips, and time with extended family. She would hang sheets on the line to dry and have dinner on the table each night where the family would sit together, sharing their day. She created a warm caring place to feel at home.

Once returning to the workforce, she worked in banks as a teller, in schools as a teacher's aide, and eventually as the Head Secretary of the high school, running the school with her same peaceful, organized, and nurturing nature. The principal and teachers knew they could depend on her, first to greet them with a smile, and then to help them with their needs. She was the "go-to" person who knew where everything was and what needed to happen next.

Once both Marie and Marvin retired in 2000, they moved from Wright, Wyoming, population 1,500, to the big city of Cheyenne, Wyoming, where they resided together until 2025. While in Cheyenne, Marie was the most fantastic grandmother to her three grandchildren who moved back to Cheyenne in 2002 to be close to family. The grandchildren had sleepovers at Grammy's house weekly, and Marie baked them brownies, had the fridge packed with Lunchables, and ensured there was more than enough chocolate licorice. She also loved taking her grandchildren shopping and making sure they had enough clothes to fill several closets. Her grandchildren loved her dearly.

Marie also volunteered next to her husband for over 15 years with the Cheyenne Senior Center Lunch program. Every weekday, Marie helped serve the seniors their meals and coffee while Marvin took the lunch tickets. With both Marie's and Marvin's easy smiles, kind, dependable and down-to-earth natures, they made many friends both at the Senior Center, and in their neighborhood.

Marie moved back to Butte in November 2025 after Marvin's passing in August to once again in the same town as her three sisters. Those months in Butte were precious. Marie had the opportunity to spend time with her sisters daily and attend the special weekly Sunday dinners.

Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Marvin Senne, and by her daughter, Christy Senne.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Wallace, by her three grandchildren, Isabel Wallace, Oliver Wallace, and Chester Wallace, and by her three sisters, Arlene Stepan, Diane Mack (and husband John Mack), and Joan Johnson.

A mass to celebrate and remember Marie will be held at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, July 9th at 11 AM. Marie will be interned together with her husband Marvin, who passed on August 17, 2025, at Mountain View Cemetery in Butte with a reception to follow at the church.
