Marian Joyce Alexander entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.  Marian was born in Butte to Richard and Olga Newgard on November 4, 1934.  The family lived in East Butte and later moved to Columbia Gardens.  She attended Harrison Grade School and Butte High School. She married her high school sweetheart William F Alexander on October 4, 1951.  Married together 56 years, Marian's greatest joy of her life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; daughter, Debbie; sons, Billy and Marty; son-n-law, Tom Renz; brother, Richard (Betty) Newgard; sister, Ethel (Mike) Schneider; and sisters-in-law, Dora and Katie Alexander.

Survivors include son and daughter-n-law, Jeff and Shannon Alexander; daughters and son-in-law, Lori Renz, Kim and Marty Janhunen, Michelle Walczak, Pam King, Sonia Andrews, grandchildren; Jason Alexander, Josh and Katie Alexander, Shane and Britney Carter, Martilyn and Jason Merideth, Justin and Stephanie Alexander, Chris and Erin Alexander, Alicia and Billy Sedita, Jamie and Jeremy LeProwse, Michael and Marissa Alexander, TJ and Skyla Renz,  Connor Janhunen, Carly and Trent Hemingway, and Levi Renz (Schyla DeLaurentis), and 15-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her only living sister, Sherry (Jerry) Barger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Our final tribute to our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother will be held at Duggan Dolan Mortuary on Monday, August 23 at 10:00AM with Deacon John Uggetti officiating.  Burial will take place in Mountain View Cemetery, reception to follow.  Marian's request in lieu of flowers please donate to Shriner's Hospital.
