Margaret Gail (Gay) O'Leary passed away on January 30, 2021.  Gay was born on June 4, 1934 in Butte, Montana to Tom and Clarice (Harrington) Loggins.  She was the oldest of three children.

Gay attended St. Patrick's grade school, Girl's Central High School (class of 1952) and St. Mary's College in Leavenworth, Kansas where she studied Gregorian Chant.  She met her husband, Bob, while working at Hannifin's Jewelry Store because he was coming in on a regular basis in the summer of 1955 to buy bonbon dishes for his friends weddings. (Bonbon dishes were the least expensive gift in Hannifin's).  They were married on August 25, 1956 and immediately moved to Omaha, Nebraska where Bob finished law school.  Their daughter, Mary, was born in Omaha and their son, Bob, was born in Anaconda, Montana.  Gay worked at the St. Ann's Church office, Butte Head Start Program for many years and then was a Realtor in Whitefish, MT until she retired.  Gay was President of the Butte Junior League and worked hard with a great group of women to bring diverse programs to the Butte community.  She loved getting together with "The Clubbers", a group of women that she graduated with from high school.  Gay was a proud member of PEO and enjoyed the great friendships that were formed.  She also was a member of the SCL Auxiliary.  Bob & Gay enjoyed their lake home at Whitefish for many years.  They loved going on Notre Dame trips.  They traveled to Ireland, Peru & Ecuador.  They were "snowbirds" for years and loved traveling to Phoenix to meet up with great friends.  Gay was a member of St. Ann's Parish for years and later Holy Spirit Parish.  She was a devout Catholic who was especially devoted to Mary, the Blessed Mother.  Gay was the best Mom, Gram, Sister, Aunt and friend.  She loved life and passed that love of life on to her family.  She idolized her great grandchildren who lovingly called her Gamma Gay.

Gay was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bob, her brother, Gary Loggins, her parents, her father and mother-in-law Barry and Honora O'Leary, her son Sean and her niece Sister Roberta O'Leary.  She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister in laws, Ted and Florence O'Leary, Mike & Lucile O'Leary and John & Alice O'Leary.

Gay is survived by her daughter Mary (Pat) Fleming and their children Patrick (Nancy) Fleming, and their children Grace and Eli, Katie (Dylan) Pipinich, and their children Emma and Isaac; her son, Bob (Noreem) O'Leary and their children Carlos & Tamara; her sister, Helen (Wally) O'Connell and their children, Kelli, Craig and Kevin; her sister-in-law Cis Loggins and her son Tom (Leann) Loggins and their son Levi.  She is also survived by her best friend of 72 years JoAnn (Jack) McLeod, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A private family service was held on February 3, 2021 at Holy Spirit Church.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Timothy P. and Florence Sullivan O'Leary Endowed Scholarship for Academics and Athletics at the University of Saint Mary, 4100 South 4 ^th Street, Leavenworth, KS  66048, the Gary Loggins Memorial Scholarship at Butte High School, Butte Central or a charity of your choice.

Gay lived a very full life and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
