Marci Christian Sheehan

January 29, 1966 – July 24, 2022

Marci Christian Sheehan passed away much too soon on Sunday night, July 24, 2022, in her Walkerville home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Our hearts are forever broken.

Born in Butte, Montana of January 29, 1966, Marci was the first born of John and Marcia Sheehan. She attended local schools including Montana Tech in her beloved mining city, earning a bachelor's degree with top honors. Marci met and created many long-lasting friendships from her earliest days in school, and she always cherished her friends as much as they cherished her. Her family will never be the same, but we are so grateful for the gift of her in our lives. There was nothing Marci would not do for anyone; her generous spirit touched all those lucky enough to meet her.

Marci began dating Anthony Kerner in high school and they married in Butte and had two daughters, Majessa and Michaela, who Marci loved more than anything. Her brightest light, and favorite person in the world was her grandson Malakai, she was never happier than when spending time with him. She was the best Nana in the world.

Marci enjoyed camping as much as she could and taking many trips to Las Vegas where she proved time and again that the luck of the Irish was more than just a saying. Marci loved traveling and concerts, attending as many as she could squeeze into every year. Her most memorable trip was to Ireland with Majessa and Dylan, and John and Kathy, and Katy.

Marci worked for Atlantic Richfield right out of college and one of the proudest moments of her time there was her work on the Mountain Con Park and trail system. Marci was also the Commissioner for District 12 for a time, a district her late father John also ran for back in his day. It was a delightful moment for all when Marci won the election that her father had lost. After Marci retired from ARCO, she began to work at the BSB School District in the Business Administration Department, where she worked until her death.

Marci was preceded in death by her father John Sheehan and her grandparents George and Helen Sheehan and Carl and Martha Bjorkman, her aunts Judy Bjorkman, Carol Gonzalez and Lucina Durkin, her uncle Jim Durkin, and her cousin Eric Bjorkman.

Her grandson Malakai Oulman and his father Josh, her brother John Sheehan (Kathy) and their sons Ryan (Renae) and Connor (Mari-Jayne) and Connor's children Hudsyn, Aaliyah and Layla, and her sister Katy Sheehan, as well as many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by her lifelong friends Leslie Houchin and Lorrie Tracy, and her sweet mini aussie Peterparker, who Malakai proudly named for his Nana.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Duggan Dolan Mortuary Chapel, with visitations starting at 10:00 am.
