Lucina Mary (Sheehan) Durkin has finished her final journey and has passed peacefully into God's hands Sunday, August 11, 2019. Heaven will be welcoming a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Lucina was born December 16, 1945 to George and Helen (Powers) Sheehan in Butte, Montana. She joined her brother John Joe, and they soon welcomed  George, Kevin, and sister Helen. She had a wonderful childhood as part of a loving and large family. She attended St Mary's Elementary and graduated from Girls Central High School in 1965. Soon after graduation, Lucina began a courtship with James George Durkin. Jim and Lucina were joined in Holy Matrimony on August 27, 1966 and were lovingly married until Jim's death in 2002. Their marriage was happily blessed with three children: Jim, Heather, and Megan. Lucina and Jim raised all three children in Butte.

Lucina was never one to slow down, and balanced her family life with many jobs in the community, including jobs at Hennessy Department Store, Butte School District #1 School Buses, Lydia's Super Club, First Citizen Bank, and Piper Jaffrey Financial. She always met her customers with a smile and brought back many stories to share.

Lucina is survived by her son; Jim, of Butte; daughter and son-in-law, Heather (Cory) Casagranda, of Butte; and daughter and son-in-law, Megan (Steve) Lutkehus of Haymarket, Virginia.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Larissa Durkin, Amber Durkin, Dennis (Taylor) Casagranda, Amanda Casagranda, and Moira and Adison McLaughlin.  Lucina was also blessed with five loving great-grandchildren, Madison, JJ, Parker, Cooper, Paisley, and Cambrie. She is also survived by her siblings Marcia Sheehan of Butte, George (Lillian) Sheehan of Wyoming, Kevin (Cookie) Sheehan of Butte, Helen (Mark) Varcoe of Seeley Lake, as well as her in-laws Millie and Harry (Bud) Voss of Butte, Tom (Carol) Durkin of Butte, Pat (Gerry) Durkin of Butte, Penny Durkin of Butte and Dan (Marilyn) Durkin of Oregon, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lucina was proceeded in death by her husband Jim, her parents Helen and George Sheehan, her in-laws Tom and Mildred Durkin, her sibling John Joseph Sheehan, her in-laws Chuck Durkin, Robert Durkin, and nephews Alan and Joe Voss, and Carl Bryant.

Lucina was deeply loved and in death she will be truly missed.

Lucina's family will receive friends on Friday after 1:00 PM in St Patrick's Church. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
