Louise Himes Williams Flynn, born on August 17, 1941, in Porter Township, Pennsylvania, near Punxsutawney, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Boyd M. and Ann E. Himes.

Louise lived a life full of love, laughter, and faith. She cherished her family deeply and found joy in the friendships she nurtured throughout her life. Her spiritual journey was a cornerstone of her life, and she served faithfully on the board of the United Methodist Church for several years. After its closure, she continued to find comfort and fellowship at Aldersgate Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father Boyd and Grace Himes, mother Ann and Louis Allenbaugh, life partner Albert Grinrod, sister Jean and brother-in-law Duane (Pete) Ludwick, brother Donald Himes, sister Carol Watkis, son-in-law Vincent Ashley, daughter-in-law Melody Sumner, and nephew Steven Himes.

Louise is survived by her loving children: Tina Ashley, Keith Williams, Tony (Linda) Flynn, and Gary (Billie) Flynn. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Amy (Douglas) Byrd, Jaime (Gary) Green, David (Christine) Williams, Jordan Flynn (Hunter Brandt), Trey Flynn (Emma Cox), Tiara (Adam) Keener, Corby (Khloe) Flynn, Edward Flynn, Gage Flynn, and Mason Warnock. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Joshua Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Patrick (Cat) Byrd, Makayla Byrd, McKinley Keener, Clark Keener, Willow Keener, Logan Williams and Piper Hayes Williams; and one great-great-grandchild, Harvey Byrd.  Also surviving are special niece Vickie Kowalski as well as several other nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Ashley Hendricks for the compassionate care she provided to Louise.

In her final written words, Louise offered comfort and reassurance: "I will be with you all in spirit." Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity or organization of your choice in memory of Louise.

Per Louise's wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service in honor of Louise will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Friday, September 19th at 11:00 am. A luncheon will be served at the church following the service.
