Lori passed away on the morning of Aug. 20, 2016 from a short but very courageous battle with cancer.
Lori was born on April, 12, 1957 in Butte, Montana to George and Betty (Evenson) Hossack. She was the first of five children. She grew up in Butte and attended Butte High School.
She married the love of her life and her soulmate, Dennis King, on Dec. 29, 1974, at the Hossack family house on Excelsior Avenue. Together they had two children, Suzanne and Shane.
Lori's favorite thing to do was to be with her family and especially her grandchildren, Skyllar (Halfpint), Jazmin, and Alex. They couldn't wait to get one of Grammie's famous hugs. She loved to bake and cook and made sure her family was taken care of first. She was never ever a selfish person and always thought of her family and her friends first. She was such a thoughtful and loving wife, mother, grammie, sister, friend, and co-worker. She will be great missed by so many.
Lori worked at a few different places including Southside Hardware, and J.C. Penney's but her favorite place to work and she worked there for 24 years was Fairmont Estates. She met so many people from around the world and she loved them all. She definitely had her favorites that she did talk about all the time but she enjoyed her job and she loved her people.
Lori was preceded in death by her mother and father; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanford and Hilda King; half-sister, Marcia (Dale) Owen, and brother-in-law, Rob Kalebaugh.
Lori is survived by her husband, Dennis; her daughter, Suzanne, and son-in-law, Shawn Crossman; her son, Shane and her daughter-in-law, Liz; her grandchildren Skyllar, Jazmin and Alex; her brother, Bruce Hossack; her sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Bill; her sisters, Jeannine Hossack and Cristine Kalebaugh; and lots and lots of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends and family are asked to join the celebration of her life at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Duggan Dolan Mortuary, 1805 Meadowlark, Butte. There will be a reception immediately following the services at the McQueen Club at 3250 Hecla (on the corner of Continental and Hecla).
