Linda L. Walsh, 52
Linda Louise Walsh passed away peacefully on March 3, 2016 at St. James Healthcare surrounded by family after an extended illness.
Linda was born in Butte May 22, 1963. She graduated from Butte High School class of 1981. Following graduation, she was employed in the dietary department at St. James Hospital. After her employment at St. James, Linda moved to San Jose where she worked as a secretary for a high tech security firm. After three years in California, Linda returned to Butte and enrolled in the Butte Academy of Beauty Culture where she received her cosmetology license. During this time, Linda worked at Boulder Hospital and then later at Rivendell.
After working in the healthcare field, Linda realized her love for taking care of people. This led to her most recent job as a dedicated home caregiver. Linda, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, was a very caring person who would help anyone in need. She was very fond of her five nieces and was always there to support them, whether it be a sporting event or a dance competition. Linda loved traveling to Mexico where she made some of her fondest memories; she even named her closest companion Cabo, a West Highland White Terrier.
Linda was preceded in death by her aunt, Agnes Murphy; grandparents, Robert and Philippa Walsh and Francis and Gladys Murphy.
She is survived by her mother, Jule Walsh of Butte; sisters, Terri (Marty) Daily of Butte; Barbie (Gary) Dudden of Butte; nieces, Kendra (Shawn) Peltier of Rock Springs, WY; Kacey and MacKensie Daily of Butte; Alyssa and Shayna Dudden of Butte; great niece, Braelynn Peltier and nephew, new arrival, Kason Ryan Peltier of Rock Springs, WY.
Linda is also survived by father, Dan (Connie) Walsh; step sister, Zynda Jones (James Johnson), step brother, Everett (Lori) Jones, uncles, Dick (Karen) Walsh and Tom Walsh. Numerous cousins also survive.
Although she was very ill and taken from us much too soon, Linda achieved a goal for which she was very proud; March marks the anniversary of her sobriety of two years.
