Linda Rose Krepps passed away peacefully at The Springs in Butte on February 12, 2024.  Linda was born in Anaconda on November 20, 1945 to Neal and Rose Hansen.

Linda grew up in Anaconda and graduated from high school in 1964. She attended the University of Montana, where she was a member of the AOII Sorority, and received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education. She married her high school sweetheart, Fred Krepps, in 1968, a 55-year marriage that continued until Fred's death in August of 2023.

Linda taught school in Anaconda, St. Ignatius, San Jose, California and Butte during her long career. She especially enjoyed teaching French to her high school students in Butte. She was also known for incorporating her love of trivia into the classroom, much to the joy of her students.

Linda made friends easily and kept those close relationships throughout her life. She had fun getting together with her volleyball group, her gourmet cooking club and her high school and college classmates. She and Fred lived in the same home in Butte for close to fifty years, where she made lasting friendships with her neighbors.

The pride and joy of her life were her son Freddy Krepps Jr. (Carrie) and daughter Alicia Foley (Bob) and her six beautiful granddaughters Ella and Sarah Krepps, and Annelise, Shae, Josie and Charlotte Foley.

She took delight in being the "matriarch" of the family, and sharing her vast knowledge of the family history. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Carol Harbin (Ray), Neal Hansen (Cheryl) and Susan Hansen (Joan), as well as many nieces and nephews and beloved cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Rose Hansen, and her husband, Fred, Sr.

The family would like to thank Linda's caregivers while at home and at The Springs, Honey Bee Hospice and her many friends, who provided comfort and love along the way. A special thank you to Espy Carpenter for her care the last year.

A service will be held on June 11, 2024. Details for the service will be announced at a later date.
