Leeann Tonkin Lundgren, 50, passed away on Monday afternoon, December 11, 2017, in the local hospital, with her guardian angels nearby.

She was born in Butte September 28, 1967, to Joanne (Rajacich) and Lee Tonkin. She attended Butte schools and worked at the Butte Sheltered Workshop 27 years. She was a dedicated and loyal worker, who was always willing to work hard.

Leeann will be remembered for engaging smile and determination to share her experience through stories. She was independent but loved being around people. She loved children and shared a special connection with them, taking every chance to shower them with her unconditional love and hugs.

She loved going places and socializing with family and friends. She enjoyed bowling, crafting, sewing and participating in Special Olympics. Her greatest gift was her beautiful and contagious smile. You just couldn't help but feel love and acceptance whenever you were around her.

She is preceded in death by her mother Joanne, her father Lee, her sister Nicole. her brother "Little" Lee, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her siblings Tara and (Jerry) Wood, Jamie Lundgren, Tondra and (Paul) Swanson, Todd Tonkin, Vanessa Tonkin, Steve Norbeck, Mike and (Sharon) Norbeck and Tammy Rhodes. Numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

There are many people and places that have touched Leeann's heart and she has impacted so many in her short life with us. A special notice, filled with love, goes to Angie Pratt, who was a constant support and advocate to Leeann. And to Leeann's young friend, Deagyn, who was an instant favorite of hers from the beginning.

Friends are asked to join the family on Friday between the hours of 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM in the Duggan Dolan Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Special Olympics, Muscular Dystrophy of Montana, Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter, or donor's choice.
