Kevin Kiely Schrapps

July 02, 1958 – July 16, 2022

Kevin Kiely Schrapps climbed his stairway to heaven on July 16, 2022, at Canyon Ferry Lake. Kiely was born July 2, 1958, to Terry and Mary Lou Kiely Schrapps in Butte, MT. Kiely received his education from Immaculate Conception and Butte Central, graduating in 1977. During his school years, Kiely participated in football, wrestling and track.

Although Kiely encountered many obstacles in his life, he lived his life to the fullest and was never afraid of trying anything. Kiely had a generous heart, never hesitant to help others, made friends with everyone he met, loved animals, and loved his family. Kiely loved to tell stories of his youth spent on Flathead Lake water skiing, taking road trips with his faithful dog Harley, collecting treasures, tennis matches with friends and sharing his photo collection with his family. There was not a family dinner where Kiely did not show up with a box of treasures and a stack of photos. Kiely was a unique simple man of few words but left a lasting impression on everyone he crossed paths with.

Kiely was preceded in death by his older brother Terry Schrapps, Jr. and Mother Mary Lou Schrapps.

Kiely is survived by his siblings: Mike (Barb) Schrapps, Kathy (Don) Schmaing, Tom (Stacie) Schrapps, and Tim (Leslie) Schrapps and his father Terry (Jean) Schrapps: along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will honor Kiely's life with a Celebration of Life on Thursday July 28, 2022, starting at 5pm at Duggan Dolan. Friends and family are welcome.
