Katherine Anna Malyevac peacefully passed away December 5, 2024. Kathy was born to Joseph" Albert" and Mary Monego on September 4,1949 in Red Lodge. Her family moved to Anaconda where she attended local schools. She met Carl Cupp and out of that union four children were born. She loved us unconditionally and was there when she was needed.

In the early days Kathy worked at the Country Kitchen aka Hangin Five where she met many lifelong friends. Through that job she became the manager of the HERE local union there she became a force working for the working people. When the union was in its last days, she decided to start her bucket list by attending Montana Tech and earned her bachelor's degree in 2002. She was very proud and so was her family.
On September 24,1983, she married her lifelong partner Larry Malyevac and the adventure began. Larry and Kathy traveled together everywhere and made many unforgettable memories. Sadly, he passed away January 28,2012 leaving Kathy with a huge hole in her life, she continued without him.

Kathy loved her grandchildren and was there for them, they will miss her every day. Alice was her second mother and was always there for her, she loved you and thank you for always being there. Thank you to the staff at Intermountain Health, especially Kathy McGrath and the ICU staff.
Kathy is survived by her four children Cara (Jim) Barnes, Karl Cupp, Mike (Tina) Cupp and Chad (Brittney) Cupp. Thirteen grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren, her sisters, brothers, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation has taken place, and a private memorial will take place at a later date.
