Julienne (Jill) Jovanovich, 93, of Anaconda, Montana, peacefully passed away on February 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Jill was born in the mining town of Anaconda in 1931 to Violet and Nelson Templeman. She grew up with her three beloved brothers, Jack, Dave, and Brad. Her entire life, she cherished time with her family. While her father and brothers enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, Jill found her passion in gardening and music, mastering her skills in both.

After graduating from Anaconda Senior High School, she began working at Mountain Bell Telephone Company, where she formed a lifelong friendship with Alice Dewing.

Jill met the love of her life, Pete Jovanovich, and they married on October 22, 1950. They settled in Anaconda, where they began a beautiful life together and started growing their family, welcoming three children, Steve, Dan, and Jan. They meant the absolute world to both of them.

Jill treasured her role as a wife and mother. She found joy in cooking, baking, and tending to her garden. Some of her family's favorite recipes included her famous povitica, sweetie pies, spud nuts, potato salad, Hungarian goulash, sarma, crème puffs, Coke cake, orange cookies, and one of Pete's favorite dishes-cow tongue. Her potato salad was like no other and even with her recipe in hand, no one could match hers.

Her love of nature was evident in the beautiful garden she cultivated. Flowers bloomed across her deck and throughout her yard, bringing color and life to her home during the spring and summer months. Jill found beauty in each season, just as she did the people in her life.

While she adored her husband and children, many would say her greatest joy came from being a grandmother. Jill was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, each of whom she shared a special and unique bond.

Jill was also an avid sports fan, a love that grew from supporting her grandchildren. She and Pete attended countless sporting events, never missing a game. The two had their "assigned" seats in the Memorial Gym, always arriving early to claim their spot. They were also proud Griz fans and season ticket holders since the Washington Grizzly stadium opened their doors and they looked forward to cheering them on every season. Together, they did not miss an activity or event their children or grandchildren were involved in.

Along with her large and loving family, Jill was blessed with dear friends who felt like sisters. She, Marie Holmlund, and Alice Dewing were inseparable, often seen gallivanting around town, laughing and enjoying life together. Jill had so many close friends who were so dear to her, including Hedda Sovereign and Isabelle Zenelik.

Jill deeply loved her community, her church, and most of all, her LORD. She served as a pianist at her church, Gateway Christian Fellowship, and she played a vital role as a steadfast member and prayer warrior.

She was also a proud member of the Anaconda Christian Women's, and loved her bible study groups throughout the years. Whether you were family, a lifelong friend, or a complete stranger, Jill was never to timid to ask if you had Christ in your life.

Jill was a woman who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. Throughout her long and beautiful life, she formed countless cherished relationships, always making sure those around her knew how much they meant to her.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished sister, a doting grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true friend. She will forever be missed, but her beautiful soul and the love she shared will never be forgotten.

Jill was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Jovanovich; her parents, Nelson and Violet (Hartsell) Templeman; her brothers, Jack, Dave, and Brad Templeman, and several members of her husband, Pete Jovanovich's family, who all became an extended part of her extraordinarily close-knit clan.

She is survived by: her son Steve and his children: Billy Jo (Andy), Kevin, Steve Jr. (Christie), and Sam (Amy); her son Dan and his children: Nic (Jessica), Jake (Chelsea), Tyler (Courtney), Jenna, and Josh; her daughter Jan and her children: Aaron (Myranda), Lindsey (Paul), Kaitlin (Greg), and Jayme (Bryon); her great-grandchildren: Danee Jo (Justin) and Sydni; Bentlee; Caedon, Kaylee, and Ashton; Addison, Tydan, Jaxton, and Kynsleigh; Lilee, Braxon, and Sadi; Teldon and Stetson; Harper, Jack, and Everly; Maleah, Leighton, and Hudson; Reece and Emmylia; Micah and Owen; J.J. and Bodie; and her brother and sister-in-law Ron and Olga May, Torry (Allan) Templeman, Mary Jo (Brad)Templeman.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Our family would like to thank the incredible staff at Anaconda Community Hospital for the gentle comfort, support and compassion you showed Julienne and our entire family during this difficult time. We are eternally grateful.

Thank you to her home health providers who were incredibly patient and tender with her. A special thank you to Mercedes (Mercy), who spent countless hours visiting and praying with her. They had a very special bond.

Honoring Jill's request, no service is planned. We will have a celebration of life held in the summer of 2025.

Thank you for the precious and unforgettable memories. We will miss you forever.
