Joyce (Little) Sayatovic

Joyce (Little) Sayatovic passed away peacefully with her daughter Brenda at her side on September 8, 2024.  Joyce was born on September 5, 1932 in Richmond Virginia, to Dorothy Jolley and Whitson Huffman Jr., and was an only child.  Growing up in Viriginia gave Joyce deep Southern Roots, which was still evident at her young age of 92.  You see, Joyce still spoke with a slight Southern drawl, and her favorite things to call someone was darlin' and sugar (pronounced shug-a).

On July 3, 1950, Joyce married the first love of her life Earl William "Bubbs" Little in LaPlatta, Maryland, as he was stationed down South while he was in the military.  Born of that union was Brenda and Michael.

Joyce was lucky to find love a second time. On May 22, 1999, Joyce married the second love of her life Nick Rudolph Sayatovic.

During her life, Joyce relished in working in the service industry.  While in Butte, Joyce worked at Sharifs Pizza, The Gold Rush Casino, and even opened her own bar, "BJ's Ore House" (named for Bill and Joyce).  Joyce adored supporting and attending all of her grandchildren's activities, and loved to brag about how many great-grandchildren she had, and the fact she was even a "great-great Grandma".  At Christmas time, Joyce and Nick loved hanging the Christmas tree upside down in their living room.

Joyce has joined her loved ones in death, her parents: Whitson Huffman Jr. and Dorothy Jolley; son: Michael Little; spouses: Earl William "Bubbs" Little and Nick Sayatovic, son-in-law Albert "Turtle" Johnson and close friend Gerri Kober. Joyce's beloved dog Pearl crossed the Rainbow Bridge last September, and we're sure she's waiting for her.

Joyce is survived by her daughter: Brenda Johnson; her grandchildren: Robyn (John) Fisher, Sean Johnson, Kelli (Bob) Fivey, Carissa Little and Mike Nance, and Terri Jo Carter; great-grandchildren: Taryn (Sam) Collins, Trey Fisher, Ava Johnson, Colt Johnson, Kayleigh Schutte, Kesley Fivey, Ashton Fivey, Tristan Little, Taylor Little, Kyle Carter, Hailey Rubick, Nicole (Taylor) Farren, and Bridgitt Campbell; great-great grandchildren: Ezra Collins and Addison Farren; sisters in-laws: Joy Skubitz, Betsy (Bert) Doughty, and Mary Lou (Bill) Spath, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Joyce also leaves behind dear friends Jan Churchill and Michelle Ryan.

A funeral service is planned for Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Family Worship Center with a reception luncheon to follow at the Butte Depot.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Southwest Montana Veterans' Home, and Stillwater Hospice for the extraordinary care given to Joyce.  Your compassion and thoughtfulness is appreciated by us all.

We feel blessed to have had you for so long, and will undoubtedly feel your absence. Until we meet again darlin'.
