Joyce Chouinard came into this world On All Saints Day, November 1, 1932, and with her usual spunky flair she left exactly 92 years later on November 1, 2024.

Born to reach a height of allegedly 5 feet tall she had a personality that was every bit of 8 feet. Joyce was fearless and lived a life filled with adventure and joy. She was first and last on every dance floor she could find. We will all miss hearing her singing both well know songs and ones of her own making.  She loved her family fiercely and all those that knew her wouldn't dare get her hair wet.

Joyce graduated from Butte High School in 1950. She married Rodney Chouinard on November 05, 1950, and they lived in competitive bliss for 69 years.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Rod Chouinard, parents Lawrence and Hilda Ruffatto, her sister Thelma and her brother Dominick. She is survived by her children Sherry and Dave Flamand, Fred and Brenda Chouinard, Rochelle and Bob Miller, and Gerald and Cindy Chouinard. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Rocko.

She was known by many names including Mom, Grandma, Gigi, and Joycina. She will be loved and missed by all. We can't wait to dance with her again!

A rosery in her honor will be said at Duggan Dolan Mortuary on Monday, November 4, with visitors gathering at 5:00pm and prayer beginning at 6:00pm.  Funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 5 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Visitation will begin at 12:00pm and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00pm. Rite of Committal will follow at Mausoleum of Mountain View Cemetery. Reception to follow services. Memorials are suggested to The Butte Emergency Food Bank or to The Lady of the Rockies.
