Jo Mulcahy, our beautiful and talented mom, peacefully passed away on November 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's residence. Josephine Frances Milburn was born in Butte, MT on August 7th, 1940, to Leo and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Allen) Milburn. She joined a sister, Kay and later welcomed a sister Vicki.

Jo attended local schools and graduated from Girls Central. On September 23,1961, she  married her best friend, William Nolan Mulcahy and celebrated more than 50 years of  marriage together. They were blessed with four children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. They enjoyed many happy times until Bill's passing in 2013.

Jo was a stay-at-home mom while her kids were in school and later worked as a Nurse's Aide for the county Home Health Agency, a seamstress for a motel in town, and a barber for many family and friends. Somehow in her spare time, she would make many different crafts and gifts for family and friends. There wasn't anything she couldn't do. She was affectionally known as "Lumber Lill" by her husband because of her frequent trips to the lumber yard and various woodworking projects.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Leo and Bessie, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Thomas "Titty" and Mae Mulcahy, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bill Richards, Pete and Marie Cassidy, Tom Mulcahy, Ed and Cass Rosich, Al Houchin, Maurice and Diane Mulcahy, Rich and Jean Mulcahy, Micky Mulcahy, Alice and "Mac" MacMillan, and Don Griffith.

Jo is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Billy Jr. and Bobbie Jo Mulcahy, and daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Frank Podobnik, Shelly and Scott McLaughlin, and Lisa and Shawn Cameron. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Kendra (Austin) Anderson, Danielle Mulcahy, Todd (Amanda) Mulcahy, Franky (Tinel) Podobnik, Patrick Podobnik, Tanner Podobnik, Sidney McLaughlin, Sarah McLaughlin, and Sadie (Henry) Kilbreath, Tasha Cameron and John Paul (Nicole) Cameron.

Great gramma Jo Jo Jellybean will be remembered by her great-grandchildren Nolan and Remi Anderson, Shawn, Ella and Zoe Mulcahy, Jayden, Hunter, Colton, Connor, and Frankie Podobnik, and Brody and Blake King..

Jo is also survived by her sisters and brother-in-law Kay Richards and Vicki and Melvin Johnson, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law Danette Mulcahy, Betty Houchin, Carol Mulcahy, Marty and Kay Mulcahy, Eileen and Brian Tierney, and Colleen Griffith as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Our family would like to thank her special friends Kay Tutty, Bev Svejkovsky, Susie Osterman, The Springs of Butte, Honeybee Hospice and Dr. Yates for the exceptional care and friendship she received.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Rockies, Honeybee Hospice, or the charity of donor's choice.

Relatives and friends may call from 10:00am to 11:00am Tuesday in St. Ann's Catholic Church for visitations.  Funeral Mass will be celerated at 11:00am.   Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
