Jolynne Megan Burns, lovingly known as "Jojo," passed away on March 9, 2026. She was born on October 12, 1994, in Butte, Montana, where she spent her childhood before later making her home in Vancouver, Washington.   She entered the world in a fragile state, yet she spent her life showing remarkable strength, resilience, and an enduring smile that could brighten any room. Even when facing her own difficult circumstances, Jolynne had a way of comforting those around her and making everyone feel that things would be alright.  Jolynne cared deeply about people and about the world around her. She had a genuine compassion for others and a heartfelt desire to make each person's day a little better. She was witty and sharp, with a memory like an elephant, and she often used that memory to lovingly remind family and friends of the funny moments and mistakes that became cherished stories over time.

She enjoyed cooking, staying connected to her faith in Jesus Christ, traveling when she could, and happily disappearing into YouTube rabbit holes. Above all else, Jolynne loved her family. She spoke about them often and proudly, always finding reasons to brag about the people she loved. One of her greatest joys in life was her treasured role as "Auntie Jojo" to her beloved niece, Wesleigh, whom she adored beyond words.

Jojo was never shy for words, and some of her favorite moments in recent years were her daily conversations with her beloved Aunt Teresa, whom Jojo took comfort in calling "Grandma" after her own had passed.

Jolynne was preceded in death by her mother, Leslie Jones (Burns); her sisters, Tiffani and Tanya; and other beloved family members including Pat, Ann, Grandpa Les, Grandma Mary and Grandma Cindy.  We take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with them in heaven, watching over those she loved.

She is survived by her brother Travis of Vancouver, Washington; his wife, Mariah; and their daughter, Wesleigh. Other survivors close to her are her Uncle Robbie and his two children Jessica and Russ. She is also survived by her half-brother, Noah Walund of Anaconda, Montana along with numerous cousins, uncles, aunts and extended family and friends.   A memorial service will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 329 W. Mercury Street, Butte, Montana, on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11am with private visitation allowed from 10-11am.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to support research for Myotonic Dystrophy through the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), the disease that took Jolynne and other members of her family far too soon.

Jolynne's life was a reminder that strength is not measured by the challenges we face, but by the love we share with others. Her kindness, humor, and unwavering care for the people around her left a lasting mark on every life she touched. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her family, her friends, and the countless memories she leaves behind.
