Jo Ann (Sweeney) Roberts passed away on Thursday in Bee Hive Homes. Jo Ann was born on October 4, 1924 in Dillon, MT to Hugh and Gertrude (Madigan) Sweeney.

Jo Ann graduated from Butte High School in 1942 and went on to graduate from Portland State School of Nursing. She married Joe H. Roberts in 1946 and together they started Roberts Rocky Mountain Equipment. In her younger years Joann was very active in the Butte Country Club and modeling for Hennessy's and other fine ladies clothing stores. Jo Ann especially enjoyed her time with the girls playing bridge.

Jo Ann began her career working for Dr. Casebeer at the Casebeer Clinic. She then moved on to her most important job: being mother to her children, Mary Ann and Hugh Roberts. Jo Ann was blessed with six grandchildren whom she adored: Josie, Julie, Patti, Joslyn, Jennifer and Hugh J. Her grandchildren share many memories of riding in Grandma's Scout with her bulldog dressed for the season!

Jo Ann was blessed with seven great grandchildren throughout the years; Keeley, Hailey, Rylan, Katie, Allie, Sean and her newest addition, Hugh. Later, Jordyn, Jake, Cody and Corm joined her ranks of great grandchildren .She often had a sweet treat waiting for her kiddos and they all knew where her secret M&M stash could be found.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Fay Sweeney, and her loving husband Joe H. Roberts. She is survived by her two children; Mary Ann Kerns (Mike), Hugh Roberts (Kris). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mary Jo Lyons (Rich), Julie Becker(Scott), Patti Kerns - Salmonsen (Chris), Joslyn Carney (Jim), Jennifer Kerns (Kevin) and Hugh J. (HJ) (Amy) Roberts along with all her great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Pat McGree and the BeeHive homes for all the loving care they gave Jo Ann throughout the years.

You will be sorely missed mom, gramma and gramma-nana. Thanks for all
the love you gave us throughout the years.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday morning at 9:00 am in the Duggan Dolan Mortuary Chapel. Interment of ashes will follow in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
