With heavy hearts we are saying goodbye to our beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Jerrid Jacob Burk. Jerrid passed away suddenly at his home of yet to be determined causes, Thursday, February 11, 2016.

Jerrid was born on June 3, 1977 to Gerald and Charlotte Burk in Glen, Montana. He graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 1995. He then earned a B.S degree in Business from the University of Montana Western in 2000. In 2003, he married his best friend Connie Hunt; together they had two beautiful children and made their home in Butte. Also part of his cherished family were his dogs, Dozer and Sammie who will miss him so.

Jerrid will not only be remembered as a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, and friend but a kind and adventurous soul who could not only dream of great adventures but could muster up his unique sort of ingenuity and inventiveness to realize them. Whether Jerrid was vacationing in Las Vegas or California, in the mountains astride an ATV, motorcycle, or snowmobile, floating the rivers, or working on his family's ranch, Jerrid's ingenuity would allow for seemingly impossible tasks to become obtainable. Jerrid's upbringing on his family's ranch was always a source of great pride, but he found an even greater joy with the same opportunity being given to his children. His presence exuded a lightheartedness and fun that could bring levity to any situation. The sheer joy and silly antics perpetuated by Jerrid was as welcome in the moment, as it will be now and forever etched in our memories.

Jerrid was employed as the Human Resource Manager at the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT). His previous employment included Children's Comprehensive Hospital and AWARE, Inc.

Jerrid was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rebecca and Ralph Jones; Elizabeth and Vern Burk. He is survived by his wife, Connie; son, Colton; daughter, Jaiden; of Butte, father, Gerald; mother, Charlotte; brother, Clinton (Jodi) Burk; all of Glen; sister, Villette (Abraham) Moore, Helena; niece, Ashlyn Burk and nephew, Layne Burk, of Glen; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Hunt; brother-in-law, Bill (Lynnelle) Perusich; all of Butte; and numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

May we carry on Jerrid's spirit of adventure until we meet again. God speed Jerrid.

Friends are asked to join the family after 9:00 am on Wednesday morning in St. Ann's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Rite of committal will be held at a later date.
