Jason Brandon Bennetts (Jay), 30, passed away in Billings, Montana, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was born on October 31, 1990, in Butte, MT, to Michelle Bennetts and John Wilson. He attended Emerson Elementary, East Middle School, and Butte High School. He later went on to obtain his GED.

Jason and Michelle Bright joined hands in marriage on May 12, 2017, in Helena, Montana. Furthermore, on June 16, 2017, they welcomed their beautiful daughter Genevieve. He always called her "baby girl" and "my angel."  Now he is her guardian angel. He loved her more than anything in this world. She was his heart and soul.  They both shared that crooked half-smile.

Jason was so much in life.  He was a son, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. Jason always loved to be outdoors fishing on the river, no matter if there was rain or sunshine.  He loved his dogs, especially "Star" and the dove "Birdie." Jason truly enjoyed the art of tattooing.  A favorite pastime of his was drawing, writing stories, and poems.  Jay loved to cook and enjoyed finding jobs that allowed him to do so.

Preceded in death by his great-grandparents David and Michalena Bennetts and his grandmother Theresa Bennetts.  Godfather Arthur James.

Jay is survived by his daughter Genevieve Bennetts (her mom Michelle Bright).  Jay's mom Michelle Bennetts (partner Stan Hansen), and his dad John Wilson (wife Wende Wilson), grandparents Dori and Paul Rader, brothers Alexander Bennetts-Manion, Christopher Kipp (Zevonia White), Jacob Hayes, and sister Mickayla Kipp, uncles and aunts Jason Cross, Leanne McFarland-Cross, and Paul Rader Jr., Tina & Angela Romero, great uncle and aunts David Bennetts, Margaret Bennetts, Mary Bennetts, nephews Colton Hayes and Theo Kipp, cousins Nicholas & Mckenzie Landfair, David & Andrew Cross, Annesse Burris (family), David Aaron Bennetts (Cheri & family), John Bennetts (Sara & family), Brian Bennetts (Janae & family), and Godmother Katherine James and family. He is leaving behind numerous cousins and extended family, and friends.

From Mom:  Jay, I will miss you saying "love and miss you, mom" these are words I often heard from you.  Every day I will listen to and read those words for which you have written. You had the biggest heart that I have ever known—those big hazel green eyes of yours, full of hope, dreams, and adventure in them.  I watched you grow into a handsome man. I'm so proud of you. I wish I could hold you in my arms and rock you one last time.  You are still my hope and dreams, and I will continue your adventure for you. Till we meet again my son, "I love and miss you dearly, Jay," always forever, love mom.

Lord, we lay our son to rest in your arms; it is time to let him wade in the river now and fish under the blue sky. Jay, as you watch over Gemma, always do so that she knows you are always there guiding her path. "You will always be in our hearts, forever missing you and your crooked smile."  We love you, Jay! Our Angel, Our Son, Our Heart, and Soul!  May you be our guiding light whose love shows us the way.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday 2/26/2021 at 12:00 pm (noon) at Duggan Dolan Mortuary and followed by graveside services at 1:00 pm at Mount Mariah Cemetery.  Please observe all Butte-Silver Bow social distancing regulations, and masks must be worn.

Memorials can be made to a foundation of your choice.  A suggested one would be the Lady of the Rockies, as he always loved the "Lady of the Rockies" since he was a baby, or the Big Brothers / Big Sisters Foundation.
