Janet Ann (Doble) Janhunen passed away on Monday November 6, 2023, at her residence in Butte, surrounded in love from her family. Heaven has surely gained an Angel to look over us.

She was born March 3, 1935, to Charles and May Doble, the eleventh of twelve children. She attended St. Mary's grade school then graduated from Butte High School in 1953. While at Butte High School she was a Cheerleader and a Coronation princess.

After high school she went to work at Hennessy's Department Store and in the early fall of 1954 she married James "Gus" Janhunen. Together they raised six children, who went on to produce 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. All were the center of her life, she and Gus traveled all over the country supporting and cheering on their children in a variety of activities, the activity did not matter, they were there for their family member.

While following her growing family Janet held many retail positions, eventually retiring from the bookstore at Highlands College. She was always active in one way or another with St. Ann's Parish, whether volunteering and the grade school, while it was open, or more recent, counting the parish offerings on Mondays.

Mother taught us our prayers early in our lives, starting with The Angel of God. But more importantly through her daily love of people, her sacrifices for us, her deep love for The Rosary and the power of Prayer, we lived her devout Faith continues in us. Her quiet dignity taught us all so much.

Janet is survived by her children Joan Janhunen , Judy Ellingwood (Ned), Chuck Janhunen (Kandace Konola), Marty Janhunen (Kim), and Peggy Klemp (Dan), daughter-in-law Renee Janhunen, grandchildren Lisa McCarthy (Nate), Jamie Humphrey, Dayle Stahl (Eric), Dan Janhunen (Stephanie Trant), Brian Ellingwood (Krista Krueger), Connor Janhunen, Carly Hemingway (Trent), Annie Ellingwood (Kyle Thompson), Kevin Ellingwood (Maria Theisen), Lauren Klemp, Ryan Klemp, and Shay Janhunen (Mathew Weeden), great-grandchildren Aidan, Luke, and Livia McCarthy, Natalie and Leightyn Humphrey, Kacie, Whitney, and Kimber Stahl, and Henley and Hattie Hemingway, brother-in-law Ed Rademacher, and sister Audrey Daly, brother Bob Doble (Sharron), sister-in-law Pat Doble.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband James "Gus", son Jim, parents, father and mother-in-law William and Margaret, brothers and sisters Lois York, Ruth Shea (Bub), Bill Doble (Ruthie), June Sheehan (Tom), John Daly, Jack Doble, Bernadette Doble, Dee Daly (Tom), Shirley Wagstaff (Bill), and Fritzi Cunningham (Rock), brother -in-law Jinx (Agnes), sister-in-law Peggy Vucurovich (George), sister-in-law Patty Radermacher (Ed) brother-in-law Dan and LeRoy Beeby (Joan's Fiancé).

Liturgy of the Resurrection will be Monday, November 27, 2023, at 11:00am at St. Ann's Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00am.
