On June 11 ^th , 2022 we were deeply saddened to have to say goodbye to our beloved son, Jacob Raymond Pesanti. At the time of his death, he was at home on the Pesanti Ranch which was "home base" for most of his life. He was 22 years old at the time of his passing.

Jacob was the first-born son of Lewis Pesanti and Terra Frasz, and arrived in their lives on May 7 ^th , 2000. He attended Butte schools including Kennedy Elementary, East Junior High and graduated from Butte high School in 2018. For a short time, Jacob enrolled in college classes at the University of Montana in Missoula and was forever a "Griz Fan". Jacob always had a great desire to learn and a wonderful curiosity about various parts of life and the world.

Jacob held various jobs throughout the community including, Lifeguard at Stodden Park, support staff for CCCS/Butte Pre-Release, various construction and landscape jobs.

Jacob enjoyed many sports and hobbies throughout his life. The sports that he competed in included football, wrestling, and track. He shared this love for sports with several of his close friends and made many along the way. As he grew up, he spent many hours with his dad learning to appreciate and love the outdoors and the beautiful state that we live in. Jacob and his dad loved to hunt, fish, float the rivers, go camping and then fish some more. He grew to be an avid outdoorsman and had many incredible experiences alongside his dad. In more recent years Jake became very environmentally aware and had a strong passion for caring for the earth. He was very conscious about these issues and engaged in many activities to support this cause. Jacob spent much of his time with his mom and they were very close. They worked together to help and support brother Nicholas who has long struggled with a severe seizure disorder. Jake was a HERO to Nicholas and they had many adventures together.

Jacob is survived by his parents, (mother) Terra Frasz and (father) Lewis Pesanti & (Jan Lowney). He has two very special brothers, Nicholas Pesanti and Zachary Pesanti, all of Butte Mt. He will be greatly missed by his grandmothers, Darlene Frasz and Linda Albright. Jacob will leave behind aunts, uncles and cousins that cared for him very much. These include, aunt, Heather Frasz, uncle Kevin & (Leslie) Frasz, cousin Tommy & (Daryl) Frasz, aunt Denise & (Gene) Kelly and cousins Allison and Emily Kelly, all of Butte Mt.

He will be greatly missed by his aunt Lisa Pesanti, cousins, Ryan & (Maggie) Welch, and Justin Best. Uncle Michael Pesanti, cousins, Michael & (Alaina), Vincent and Dante Pesanti. Uncle Steven & (Elieen) Pesanti and cousins, Katie Pesanti & (Nate Greer), Magdalena Pesanti and Selah & (Tanner) Ostrom.

He is preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Wally Frasz and Raymond J. Pesanti. Jacob spent a great deal of time with Wally and he was monumentally important to Jacob. Jacob grieved deeply after Wally's passing and we are sure it was a great reunion on June 11 ^th .

A vigil will be held Thursday evening, June 23rd at St. Patrick's Church. The family will meet with visitors from 6:00-8:00-ish. On Friday, June 24 ^th , 2022 at 12:00, noon, there will be a memorial service at St. Patrick's Church with a reception to follow immediately at, "The Depot" (818 South Arizona, Butte Mt.). Duggan Dolan Mortuaries will be assisting in these services and can be reached for questions.
