Helen McMillan passed away on Sunday, January 05, 2020, at St. James Healthcare in Butte, Montana.

Helen was born in Macklin Saskatchewan Canada, the first of nine children to John and Anne (Hawk) Heisler, The family moved onto a farm outside of Strome, Alberta, then returned to Saskatchewan for High School. She attended Business College in Toronto, Ontario. She worked for Standard Oil as a Comptometer Operator. She met her husband, Ian McMillan, through his sister at work. They got married June 26, 1956 in Niagara Falls, Canada and moved to Southern California. They lived in the Los Angles area where they had two children Susan and Stuart. They moved up the coast to Santa Barbara where Helen worked as a Teachers Aide. When they retired, they moved around California living in Atascadero, Madera County and ran an Almond farm for a few years before moving back to the coast town of Ventura, CA.

Helen was fond of playing cards and walking with her longtime friend Karen Darga. Helen loved garage sales and spending time at the beach reading and walking as well as sewing projects for children and quilts for the needy, she loved visits from family and friends and traveling to Montana to visit grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Ian; grandson, Ian Stuart; siblings, Hilda Kroetch, Fran Burnup, Tudy Gillespie, and Ed, Ken, Allen, and Richard Heisler.

Helen is survived by her sister, Sherry (Rodney) Zimmel; her daughter, Susan (Father Russell) Radoicich, grandchildren Paul, Vesna, Katherine, and Rebecca Radoicich; son, Stuart McMillan; and grandchild, Ivette, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday, January 08, after 5:30 PM in the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, located at 2100 Continental Drive. Prayer Service will be recited at 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 09, at 11:00 am in the Church. Interment will follow in Mountain View cemetery.
