Helen Trimble Hughes passed away on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her family. Helen was born in Butte, Montana on February 28, 1937, to Art and Helen Trimble. After graduation from Butte Central high school in 1955 she worked for Montana Hardware in Butte. She left Butte in 1959 and lived in several cities before settling down in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Helen received both a BA and MA from Arizona State University. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona prior to retiring in 1999. For several years, Helen enjoyed hiking, playing bridge, and she was avid ballroom dancer. She is survived by her four children Jim Hughes, Teri Hughes Foster (son-in-law, Tony Wallace), Geri Hughes, Bill Hughes (daughter-in-law, Tracy Hughes), four grandchildren Andy Foster, Callihan Hughes, Kennedy Hughes, Addison Hughes, and sister Judy Trimble Dolan of Butte, Montana and Judy's seven children.
