Helen Veronica Harrington Hall has gone to be with Jesus and his Blessed Mother whom she looked forward to being with as her health failed. Her Catholic faith was very important to her. She passed away on April 26, 2021. She was born in Butte on March 1, 1938 to Joseph and Florence (Phondorf ) Harrington. She attended St. John Catholic grade school and graduated from Butte High School in the class of 1956.

Helen met the love of her life Garland Hall when she was 15 years old and they were married at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on June 23, 1956. Their union brought forth five children: Garland (Annie) Hall, Fr. Robert Hall, Mark (Gabi) Hall, Veronica Hall, and Michael Hall. Her siblings who all have lived long lives into their 80's and beyond: Msgr. Joseph Harrington, Marlene (Arthur -deceased) Dick, Irene (Terrance) Ryan, Sandra Harrington (Kenneth Baze)

Helen had 3 grandchildren: Nathan (Rebecca) Schwartzmiller, Beth Schwartzmiller and Dannielle Hall. She has 4 great grandchildren: Braelynn Schwartzmiller, Ava Schwartzmiller, Kayden Johnston, Bentlee Schwartzmiller. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.

Helen had a life long love for the game of golf and was a member of the Bonnie Highlanders at the Highland View golf course. Her fellow golfers nicknamed her Helly Lopez.

Helen was very proud of her Irish heritage and was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernia. She also had a deep devotion to our Blessed Mother and was a member of the Legion of Mary. She was a daily Mass attender and became friends with many who attended Mass also.

Helen loved to play cribbage with her family and on every Friday would have fun playing cribbage with her son Bob, her daughter Veronica and granddaughter Beth.

Helen enjoyed and loved her trips to Ireland, Rome, New Orleans, and California with her son, Fr. Bob.

Preceding Helen in death was her parents, her husband Garland, her son Michael, her father and mother in-laws, Robert and Margaret Hall, her brother in- laws Robert Hall, Harvey Hall, Arthur Dick, and sister in-law Betty Hall, her nephew Dale Neumann, and her niece Nancy LeClair.

Helen's new life with the Lord will be celebrated on Thursday, April 29 at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1500 Majors. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 28 from 4-6pm. The Rosary will be recited at 6pm. Interment will follow the Mass and will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Butte Depot, 818 S. Arizona.
