Glenda Maxine Nelson, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at her home in Butte.

Glenda was born on November 17, 1950, in Butte, Montana, to Kenneth and Edna Reick. She was raised in Butte and attended local schools, graduating from Butte High School. Her Montana upbringing shaped her strong values of hard work, resilience, and deep devotion to family.

Glenda moved to Renton, Washington, where she made her home for 45 years. She built a long and meaningful career with Boeing, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. She was known for her strong work ethic, dependability, and kind spirit.

Glenda's family and friends meant everything to her, and everyone knew that "picking up that phone call" or "just stopping by" often turned into a long, heartfelt visit filled with humor and laughter.

She is survived by her sister, Alice Mengon; sister-in-law, Kathy Reick; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Jack Lubick; grandchildren, Danielle Falcon, Jamie Walker, Joe and Ciara Lubick, and Brandon Grobler; great-grandson, Tidus Grobler; and great-grandson-to-be, Jett Owen Lubick, whom she was so excited to meet and spoil. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Edna Reick; spouse and love of her life, Ray Roper; daughters, Monica Reick and Ronni Nelson; grandson, Patrick Falcon; sister, Karen Bishop; and brother, Kenneth Reick.

Glenda will be remembered for her unmistakable red hair, sparkling blue eyes, and a quick sense of humor that made people laugh. She had a gentle nature, a generous heart, and a talent for making people feel cared for, whether they needed a listening ear, good advice, or just someone to quietly sit with them. She found joy in the simple things in life and believed strongly that kindness was not optional; it was just what you did.

Glenda's life was filled with happiness, laughter, sorrow, quiet strength, steady love, and one that will leave a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all those who love her so deeply.

Private family services will be held, with a celebration of Glenda's life to follow, where stories, laughter, and probably a few "that sounds just like her" moments are sure to be shared. We all love and miss you, Glenda!
